After reading reviews people should stop and look at how much they pay V what they are expecting. We thought this hotel was in a fantastic location (very safe) and walking distance to disneyland. We had a good size room it was clean and quiet and could not ask for any more. If you are wanting a hotel with out spending BIG DOLLARS then this is perfect.

We stayed at the HOHO Disneyland and it was enjoyable. We took the Disneyland Express bus and was dropped off in front of the hotel. We had a Disneyland view in Building 1 on the 4th floor. The view was great, you can see the monorail go by and watch the fireworks every night. We watched the fireworks from our balcony or sat on the chairs in the room and watched from the inside room window. The room wasn't anything fancy but it had everything we needed (two sinks, microwave, refrigerator, safe, and Keurig Coffee), service was top notch.

The Castaway play pool area was perfect for my 7 year old son and I highly recommend it for children. The water slides, and splash bucket was great during the hot afternoons. Although, the other pool back of the hotel property is fine..it is not for kids if they do not know how to swim. It drops off from 3.5 feet at the pool steps to over 4ft depth very quickly.

The location is perfect with McDonald's about a block away and Mimi's cafe across the street. We really enjoyed Mimi's... ate there 3 times during our stay. We walked to the entrance to Disneyland everyday and it was probably the same distance as to the Disneyland Hotel from the opposite direction.

The HoJo sundries store was okay.. a bit small but it did have items we needed. The only one thing we didn't like was the game room. Several games were broken and not working... and we had to go to the front desk for change since the change machine was not working also. Otherwise than that.. we really enjoyed our stay and would definately stay here again.

I usally stay at paradise pier and decided to try this hotel oout by word of mouth.. the water park looked so fun online and I was excited.. we arrived there and checked in.. We have 3 young kids. We starty walking to our room and instantly felt sick because I felt like I was in a convelecent hospital.. The smell and the vibe was not good.. We were placed upstairs and there was NO elevator!! we had to carry a double stroller up a flight of NARROW sairs! I was pissed. It does not feel like a hotel... it feel more like a run down old folks apartment. Seriously..

The room are HUGE though.. I did not like the fact that our buiding and room was about 20 feet from the free way so it was loud all night. I personally would not stay here.. There was no good vibes and it smelt like a hospital.

Great place to stay for Disneyland. Truly just a ten minute walk. Mimi's across the street is a great place to eat.
The room was spacious and even though we were on the freeway side the noise was not an issue unless you were on the balacony
The parking lot is a great place to see the fireworks display at disneyland.
The rates were great also. The staff was helpful and the mini store was a great place to pick up snacks.
Free parking was also a bonus.

I would stay here again, but I would do it differently. I purchased the pool view upgrade, got into our room and you would have to lean out over the balcony to see the pool, I asked the front desk if this is what they considered to be a pool view and of coarse they said yes, so I let it go. The pirate pool is a nice way to finish the day after Disneyland. They have a little store is the second bldg, nice to pick up little things but very pricey. It was about a 10 min walk to the Park gate, not bad and you pass McDonald so we had breakfast before we entered Disney. Also this hotel is right off the freeway, so if your a light sleeper, DONT DO IT. Mimis Cafe is next door, go to their website and sign up you recieve a 2 for 1 breakfast, but beware the service is horrible, so bad you just have to laugh.

We stayed at this hotel obviously for proximity to disneyland, but also this one in particular as our neighbours recommended it. Don't expect any frills, but do expect good value for money. Unfortunately we were on the freeway side of the hotel rather than the side facing Disneyland, where we might have seen the nightly fireworks, but the noise didn't penetrate the room. We weren't there long enough to try out the pool, but if we go back I would certainly build in some more time to let our younger children play there, as it looked great. No restuarant on site, but it was close enough to a range of other choices that this didn't matter

A very clean and well maintained older hotel with the best beds we encountered in
our 3 week tour of the states. Some highway noise but did not hinder us sleeping!

Great view of Disney fireworks ! Easy walk to front gates and Disney downtown.
Several good family restaurants nearby and a very well priced general store on site.

Free internet, Free tea & coffee and helpful friendly staff !!

We will return with our 3 children in the near future..

Well done Hojos and thanks for the memories!!!
