We are SoCal passholders with 3 young kids who decided to stay one night to celebrate our 6 year old daughter's birthday at Disneyland. The hotel was just what we needed.

We booked with HoJo using the 20% discount they extend to Disneyland passholders. The check-in was quick and easy; they even let us check-in early! We had a 2 queen beds deluxe (superior?) room on the 5th floor in Building 1 with views of the hotel's Castaway Cove and Disneyland's Matterhorn. The beds were comfy and the linens clean. There was a small fridge, microwave, and a coffee maker. The fridge was unplugged and a little moldy, so we didn't end up using it. There was a small table with 2 chairs but no sofas or other seating. Our kids are little, so the number of beds was adequate, but for those who need a roll-away, the hotel charges $15 + tax. We had no problems with noise (except for some early-riser guests who were talking in the hallway). We did have a problem with mosquitoes -- killed 3 the night we stayed. The only other problem was some moldy grout in the tub. A nice convenience was the extra sink outside the bathroom.

The hotel is a 5 - 10 minute walk to Disneyland, depending on how tired your and your little ones are. It is a safe walk in that there are always people walking to and from their hotels along the street. McDonald's and Mimi's Cafe are nearby. We ordered out twice from Mimi's, once for dinner and once for breakfast (used $5 off coupons each time). Make sure to ask for extra plates and cutlery! McDonald's, of course, is open late and is convenient, if more expensive than other McDonald's.

Check-out was also a breeze; just follow the instructions on the t.v. Before we left, the kids played at the hotel's waterpark and small arcade. They LOVED that, so much so that my youngest keeps asking when we're going back to the hotel! The morning was a little overcast and chilly, but the water in the wading pool was heated. There is also a jacuzzi. I think my kids loved the big water slide best.

I looked around a little in the hotel's small convenience store. It seemed to carry a large variety of items, albeit overpriced ones.

All in all, the hotel was convenient for our visit to Disneyland, and the kids enjoyed the amenities! The only complaint would be over the moldy mini-fridge and bathtub. Despite that, we would consider staying again for our other daughter's birthday.

We stayed for 5 nights on our first visit to Disneyland and can't consider of staying anywhere else in future. The service, pool, Mimi's cafe across the road and very convenient laundry room are just what you need for a family accommodation. The room is spacious and the staff are very helpful.

I can't say enough about this place. It was fabulous.

Check in and out was easy, the rooms were clean. It is only about a 10 minute walk to the gates of Disneyland. The 2 pools were great and we visited both almost every day of our stay. The Castaway water park was so much fun for the kids and the adult pool was great too. The beds were super comfy and our family of 4 slept very soundly.

The only downside is that the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, so you can't request any cutlery/dishes be brought up as they don't have any. But, this is really not an issue as Mimi's restaurant is next door and is very good. You can also get take-out delivered for those nights you want to stay in. You can even sign up before your trip to Mimi's e-club and get coupons to use when you go. Just don't sign up too far before your trip as the coupons will expire. The front desk had 1 wine opener so you had to go down there to get a bottle opened (next time we will bring one from home!).

We will definitely be back here - wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Why pay for a Disneyland hotel when you can stay here for a much better price?! And you still get great pools/water park and are close to Disneyland!

I've stayed at about every Disneyland area hotel, and I simply won't stay anywhere other than here anymore. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. Everything looks amazing, the pool areas are better than the overcrowded Disneyland hotels, rooms are large and super quiet. The Annual Passholder rates are a wonderful bonus to staying here, and I look forward to many more excellent stays here.

Just stayed here from 5/16 to 5/18. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and quiet. Only complaint would be the towels. Pool area is fabulous for young kids...we have 2 and 3 year old boys. Walk to Disney is easy and quick.

I gave 5 stars...I know it's not a five star hotel, but it fills its role perfectly and I would stay here again.

Great location... 5 minute walk to disneyland. Very clean, beaut gardens, and very comfy beds.
My only complaint is there is no jug to boil water, but is available from reception. There is however, a microwave and coffee filter system. I would avoid the rooms near he freeway as they seemed noisy, but like most hotels here, freeways are all around. Go for a room near the pool. Also has a great water playground, and most tour companies pick up from here. You can do universal studios, zoo, sea world from here. Small shop on site hat sells all those things you forgot, plus more.. Lovely staff. Restaurants close by, plus McDonalds.Free parking here for guests.

Room Tip: Poolside rooms. Try and avoid rooms near freeway

This was our 5th visit and with grandchildren each time. The location is excellent with easy walking to both Disney parks. We had a room with 2 queen beds which was adequate. The rooms are a little bit tired but very good value for money. Coffee maker is provided but I didn't like paper cups provided although I understand the practicalities of this. A small fridge is useful for keeping drinks cool. It would be useful for breakfast items also however no crockery or utensils are provided for this but the hotel shop has breakfast food and drinks available. Being close to the Disney parks means it is easy for a break during the day and the pools at the hotel are a welcome area for children to chill out and adults to catch a time to relax. The hotel is just across the road form Disneyland so you can even watch the fireworks at night, not as good as being there but still a good view. The restaurant next door-Mimi's has a good breakfast menu and wide range of other meals. There are numerous eateries en-route to Disney Parks entry in addition to this.
I would certainly recommend this property to family and friends.

Room Tip: A room overlooking the garden pool area is best.
