“Great place to stay, will stay again!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2012

We stayed for 3 nights in a kids suite, which was a huge plus with two young kids. There is a king bedroom seperate from a kids room that has a bunk bed and pull out couch and pleanty of room to play. We stayed on 1st floor facing freeway and never heard ANY noise from freeway, meaning theres alot of soundproofing. Kids pool area was very nice and kept kids entertainined and the market had good snacks and drinks and it had good hours! Short walk to disney, quicker to walk than shuttle over there, and you can always walk back for a break. Not a 5 star resort or anything so if your a needy and greedy person, this wont be for you. Great place and will return!

This was our second time staying at the HoJo in Anaheim. It's nice and close to the entrance of Disney so your walk is only 5 mins.
The service was great, our room was fairly clean. It's a bit older so it has some areas requiring TLC.
We stayed in the back building and the sound of the traffic on the freeway was horrible!! So loud!
The pools are good. They took out their main pool and put in a big water park structure. This means parents and adults aren't enjoying the same pool area. There is an adult pool at the back of the property but it's not very fun for kids.
I would stay here again for sure.
Rafael at the front desk was overly helpful. Thanks!!

Room Tip: Ask to stay away from the highway!!

We stayed in the 2 Queens premium room with a view of Disneyland. We were able to take advantage of the "retro rates" so the price was excellent. From our 3rd floor room, we could see the top of the Matterhorn and some of the taller California adventure rides. Since we were there during the week and there were no fireworks during that time, I am not sure if it was worth the upgrade. The staff were very friendly and check in and out went quickly and smoothly. As others have commented,we did hear a fair bit of noise (from the lobby) and the kids in the room above us, but not much more than a typical hotel stay. It is an easy walk to the Disneyland gates. The fridge in the room was a good size and able to hold our large water bottles and milk for breakfast. There is also a large safe in the room, which was big enough to hold a laptop. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was quite spacious. Overall, we were happy with the choice we made to stay here.

We paid the extra fee for a better view of the Disney park and to be away from the freeway which the hotel backs onto. The hotel room was clean and a good size. However, the door to the balcony is paper thin and you may as well be sleeping on the I5 freeway with the noise, the view of the park is obscured by a tree right outside the balcony, the hotel doors are spring loaded and slam shut very loudly. And the free WiFi was working maybe 10% of the time. Nice hotel if you bring heavy duty earplugs or can sleep through anything.

Room Tip: Pick a lower room to try and avoid the noise from the freeway.

Stayed here in August, perfect for a family holiday at Disneyland. Arrived at 8.30am, too early for check-in, so the hotel stored our luggage and invited us to take a dip in the pool to cool down. This was perfect for us kiwi's who had just come from wintery weather!! After swimming we went straight to Disneyland which was an easy 10min walk. The room was standard with good space and very clean. Service was fantastic with good local knowlege. Good to have a coin operated laundry onsite along with a small convenience shop for b/fast supplies, snacks etc. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

Room Tip: The higher you go the better your view of the fireworks. The first floor rooms opening onto the wat...

Found this hotel by looking on Trip Advisor for the best-valued family hotel within walking distance of Disneyland. And boy did we find a winner. The hotel suited our kids (aged 4, 8 and 10) perfectly with a great family-friendly pirate waterworld, and another area with a deeper pool for the older kids. Our room was in building 1 which was right next to the lobby and at the front of the hotel and our room on the fifth floor. From here we could enjoy the nightly fireworks at Disneyland which was an added bonus, though you should check to find a room like 1501 or 1601 so the trees don't obscure the view. They start around 8.40pm. For food there's a reasonable minimart on the ground floor which stocks a range of foodstuffs and gifts. We bought the cereal boxes and milk which was great for the kids. And for dinner there's Mimi's right across the street which costs about $60US for a meal for 2 adults and 3 hungry kids including drinks (but not tip) which was good value. Overall, we'll definitely be back!!

Room Tip: Go for building 1, rooms 1401 or 1501.

Hojo is a wonderful 7 minute walk away from DLR! We stayed in Building 2, facing the pool and it was peaceful (except when the fireworks were on, lol).

We had some things shipped to our hotel room and although our room wasn't ready when we arrived, they held our luggage etc in a secure area.

The staff here are wonderful...they help in any way they can.

The hotel also has a great entertainment rate that can get you a room for as little as $59 a night! Super affordable especially when you are on a family budget!

Every time we go to DLR we stay with Hojo and they always help make our stay wonderful! Last time we stayed they even gave us a room with a microwave for free because there was a mix up with our reservation...no fault of theirs!

We are already planning our 6th trip to DLR and we already know who we will be staying with!

Room Tip: If you have children that need naps make sure you don't get a room with the huge window above th...
