I booked a last minute surprise trip to Disneyland for my 4 year old daughter. I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, a Monday through Thursday. I found this hotel 1 week prior to our stay for a great price and since it was just her and I traveling, I chose this hotel since it offered free shuttle rides to and from Disneyland.
The rooms are in great need of a complete renovation. The carpets are dirty, the bedding is old, the fridge and microwave were on it's last leg and needed to be replaced. I only kept our drinks in the fridge and was surprised they were chilled enough to drink. The air conditioner barely kept the room cold enough, the room was always very muggy. The bathrooms was clean but the tub was super old and flaking and the ceiling had water stains. But I always had plenty of hot water.
The check-out is weird - you have to return the tv remote or you get charged?? Very odd. Lots of tv channels including Disney which kept my daughter occupied while I got ready in the mornings before leaving for Disneyland. The shuttle gets filled up VERY quickly and each day we had to wait for it to come back to have a spot to sit. Not such a big deal in the mornings waiting to go to Disneyland, but when you have a super cranky and tired 4 year old waiting for almost an entire hour for the shuttle to finally have space for you to get on, it's annoying. Especially when you made sure to get to the pick up spot super early in order to have a spot in the van and then other guests who show up just a few minutes before the shuttle gets there bum rushes the van and takes all the spots so you have to wait even longer for the van to come back. Not the hotel's fault, but wanted to point that out. Just rude people honestly.
Breakfast - has cereal, juice, coffee, milk, fresh fruit, soggy doughnuts and bread you can toast and put jelly on. Very basic but was helpful to have a little something each day before getting food in Disneyland.
If you are a family looking for a budget place to stay and go in realizing the accommodations here are outdated and the carpet dirty but can get over that - go for it. Honestly, my daughter and I had an amazing time because we could care less about the room. We were only there to sleep and shower. Just pack some slippers to keep your feet clean! And maybe your own blanket and pillow.
All of the other guests staying looked to be normal families - I did not see any unusual or suspicious creepers around. Just average people off to Disneyland.
Also, we flew in and took Super Shuttle to get to the hotel so I did not deal with parking but I did notice the parking lot seemed very full every day.
