Best Western Plus Raffles Inn & Suites
Ranked #42 of 118 Hotels in Anaheim

Really enjoyed our stay at the Raffles Inn. Happy with the accommodation. Beds were comfortable, the two bedroom suites were really suitable with our two younger kids. Gave them some space, whilst giving us some of our own. Two bathroons were really nice as well.
Breakfasts were acceptable, coming from Australia the American tastes are a little different to ours. We had no problems, staff were always pleasent to deal with and the rates were good.

Our extended family of 10 went for a Disneyland vacation back in November 2010. We booked 2 rooms, 4 persons in 1 room and 6 in another. Laminate wood flooring was in place instead of carpet, nice for a change. The beds were really bad; thin, springy and sank in the middle. Pillows were flat like pancakes and air-conditioning were really loud. Everything else was standard; management tried to upgrade an old motel but failed terribly. I will say the location is excellent, 15 to 20 mins walk to Disneyland entrance or take a free 5 mins shuttle from the Disneyland carpark next door. (Make yourself) Waffles were good during breakfast, and there were plenty of juice, milk, coffee, bread, bagels, etc. If price and location are your priorities, this is the hotel for you. If you have more to spend, please go somewhere else because you will not get a good night sleep in their beds.

Room Tip: Be really nice to front desk?

We were terribly disgusted with this hotel! We were not expecting it to be a Motel, once we checked into our room, which was located on the 3rd floor with only 1 elevator located across the entire parking lot, we were completely disgusted with our room, which only had 1 queen bed that was located right beside the window that looked out at the stairway. There was 1 tiny bathroom that was dirty and dingy. The Kids bunkbeds were ok, but there was no way we would open up the sofa bed, that they call a queen bed! I imediatley called the front desk to be moved, they said that they couldnt since they were full that nite but could the next day, which they did and the room was much bigger but still very old and out dated and smelled very musty. This time we were moved to the ground floor on the corner where everyone stood to smoke and lean up against our window! Needless to say we did not feel safe in this motel. At nite we found 2 small flying bugs on the one bed and the other bed we found a spider crawling across the pillow! And when we spoke to the hotel staff about this they told us we must have left our windows open! My mother was with us and had to spend a day in the hospital with a very sore and swelling foot, which the Dr. in Emerg told her was from a possible spider bite!! When we left for the day to go to the parks our suitcases were looked through and passports pulled out and left in other spots! When you ran the water in the bathroom sink it smelled like sewer water! The hot tub had was working but there were small rocks on the bottom and the lights in the hot tub were so hot it burnt your skin if you touched it! The one good thing about this motel is that they serve a breakfast, there were danishes and muffins and cereals and make your own waffles. If you want to feel safe and comfortable while at Disneyland DO NOT stay at this Best Western.....Stay somewhere else!

Very well priced hotel, easy walk to Disneyland and California Adventure. Travelled with our two young sons, who enjoyed having a separate bedroom with bunk beds. Rooms could do with a restyle as a bit eighties (so much wallpaper - even in the bathroom!) but they had comfortable beds, adequate space, and everything we needed. Breakfast very ordinary - cereals and waffles - but enough to get you started in the morning. It's not the Ritz, or the Grand Californian, but how could it be at such incredibly low rates? We found the staff pleasant to dea;l with at all times, also appreciated onsite laundry, free newspapers, and help-yourself fruit bowls in the lobby.

This is the second time in a year that I have stayed at this location. It is across the street from Disney. It is a great value and it even includes a hot breakfast. The rooms are clean and quiet and the beds are comfortable. Hats off to Raffles.

We booked the RAFFLES motel due to its proximity to the Anaheim Convention Center to attend a recent tradeshow, and we were really disappointed with the quality of these accommodations. Nearly every aspect of the motel is needing attention - starting with the surly desk staff who seem like smiling and making you feel welcome is simply not part of their job description.

Our stay started out bad, being charged a previously undisclosed "Resort and Parking fee" of $7 per night... give me a break. For what? So we could park our car? That kinda set the tone for our whole stay.

Then there is the room itself, where you turn on the fluorescent light fixture when you walk in the room and it sounds like a sci fi movie drone sound effect. You know that sound:

Meerruuummssssiikkkkksmmmeeerrrrrruuuummmm.

The Free High Speed Internet is for sure free, but high speed is a big optimistic. Truth in disclosure would suggest they change the term to Free Low Speed Internet and that would at least be accurate.

Then there is the squeaky bed, the burnt orange naugahyde chair that is wobbly, the horrible TV reception on old CRT televisions, the noisy air conditioner that sounds like the bearing is bad... and saving the best for last: NO HOT WATER! And instead of being supermely apologetic as you or I would be to a guest, they were defensive and defiant. "The parts on order, it will be fixed later". Thanks for that.

Apparently a part had gone bad on the boiler, so we were able to enjoy cold showers for the first night and morning.

And the outdoor jacuzzi? Perhaps you could overlook the badly cracked plaster if the thing actually worked, but it too was "closed for maintenance"

And if you have any respect for the environment, don't eat the free breakfast, where everything is served on un-recyclable foam plates, foam bowls, and foam cups. You'd think that any California hotel or motel would realize that being green is something that guests actually appreciate, but I guess being cheap is far more important than saving the environment.

I don't know who runs this particular Best Western Franchise, but we will never stay there again... it is tacky and run down, with a staff that seems to be oblivious to the fact they are in the hospitality industry. If BW cares about their brand, they'll send someone out to set this place right... it is definitely one of the poorer experiences I've had at a Best Western, where they usually over a nice stay at a fair price. This was a bad stay at a high price.

My advice is to try one of the other much better properties in the area, and maybe management will get the hint that they need to spend some money to make sure the facility is competitive.

The good news is that the Disney Resort area has many fine motels and hotels avaialble, and there is TONS to don in the area. The only problem is that this facility is not one of the fine motels around the area... and for them to charge a kings ransom and deliver an experience like this is something to be embarassed about, not proud of.

We stayed at the Best Western Raffles Suites for our disneyland vacation in the begining of the New Year. The rooms are small, old, not terribly clean and were poorly redone. We chose a two room suite. The bunk bed was fine, but was missing a fitted sheet on the lower bunk. There were also tools in the top bunk left after a repair? The sofa sleeper was un sleepable~ the matress was poor to begin with but was also completely worn out. We had to put the sofa cushons and sleeping bags on the bed to sleep my son. We were going to just sleep him on the sofa but it was to short. The queen bed in the main room was ok.
The room does have a small refrigerator and microwave, which is handy! Breakfast provided were sweet rolls and coffee.
My main complaint was that the room was on the ground floor facing Harbor blvd and had no window latch or lock in the childs room! We requested a stick which management could not provide for us. Maintinance never did fix the window or even give us a stick to keep the window secure~ so needless to say we did not sleep a wink! Daily we had to load our belongings into our locked car to go to disneyland than unload when we were tired. We'll stay at the travelers next time.
