The hotel was clean and inviting upon arrival. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our Borrego Suite room was perfect for our group- one adult, two teenage brothers, and one teenage girlfriend. The breakfast, included in the hotel stay price, was decent - both hot and cold food choices given. We did not have a chance to experience the swimming pool, so I cannot comment on that. The only slighty negative thing I would say would be the walking distance to the actual Disneyland entrance - a bit further than expected; although, we did find a Disney shuttle (by the second day!) that was running back and forth from a drop-off/pick-up point closer to the hotel. A convenience store is located right next door to this hotel, so that was helpful to get bottled water, snacks, etc... Overall, we felt this hotel was a very good value for the money!

We stayed at the D P in Mar 08 and enjoyed it so much we took 13 extended family members with us in Mar 09. We had 4 different types of rooms and no problems during the whole week. The employees were pleasant throughout the entire stay both years. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the roof. The walk to Disneyland was close enough that we could walk back to take a nap and let the kids swim in the pool and get back to Dland and have pleanty of time for dinner. The room was always clean no matter what time we came back. The Yuha suite was awesome! The boys loved the bunks. My wife and I loved the queen bed and the door between the rooms. My daughter slept on the pullout sofa just fine. We will Stay here again.

We recently visited Anaheim & Disneyland. We usually stay closer to the main entrance of the park, but decided to try Desert Palms because of the breakfast and suites. A microwave and a fridge in the room were a bonus at no extra cost. Very courteous staff, clean lobby, clean room, nice hot breakfast. What more could you ask for? (Well, maybe a shuttle) The walk was a little longer than other hotels we've stayed at in the past. But we thoroughly enjoyed our experience there and didn't mind the walk because of the amenities this hotel provides. Nice scenery on the way to the park also. We will definitely visit this hotel again!

My family and I stayed here last December for almost a week. We chose this hotel mainly because they had a family room and it was very near Disneyland, around 5 - 10 min walk. It was also near other restaurants and a convenience store next door was a big plus as well for purchasing water and other necessities. Overall I'd say the staff were very accommodating and the rooms were clean. The only thing i didn't like was that the room we booked seemed to be a little small for 6 people. We booked the kids suite with a bunk bed, sofa sleeper and a king size bed. The beds were great, it was the space that was a bit of a problem but other than that everything was great. The breakfast buffet was great as well. There was also a laundry room, ice machine and vendo machine. There were also adequate parking spaces for cars which was great considering the number of people that stayed in the hotel.

If I had been in almost any other room I would have been very happy, but Lord! Room 129 has a window looking out at the pool right next to a spring loaded door. (Pool closes at 10PM) It's also next to an elevator and they've got a hotel bar people enjoy (Bar closes at 2AM) and believe it or not, one wall faces the lobby (They vacuum the lobby every morning at 3AM). Only way to make it worse would be if it was also next to the ice machine, but it wasn't - that was down the hall about 50 feet.

I think as a joke, they put on the door that it would normally cost $600 a night. Why didn't I demand a different room? I won the trip at work and any changes or exchanges would have cost me money, whereas this room was already paid for, and yes, I am cheap. It should really be turned into a custodian's closet or laundry room, though. People shouldn't be put in there.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Enjoyed the breakfast of eggs, toast, doughnuts, oranges and cold cereal. Also had biscuits and gravy 2 days. We had a 4 year old and walked to Disney. in 10 min. Restaurants nearby. I would stay here again. The pool area isn't anything to brag about but we spent most of our time at the parks. Staff was friendly and helpful.

My family and I booked Five Days/Six Nights at The Desert Palms in Anaheim, we made our decision mostly on location. It is relatively close to Disneyland (probably about a 5-10 minute walk to the turnstiles), and very central to a lot of restaurants.

When we arrived and checked in, One of the staff at the desk (Sam!) asked us if we wanted to upgrade to larger room with a better view of the fireworks, and we did want that, so he upgraded us to the better room at no cost. Throughout our entire stay the entire staff was great, especially Sam, who was amazing. (Say Hi to him if you stay there, you can't miss him!)

The breakfast buffet was different every other day ( First day was Biscuits & Gravy, Eggs with ham. Second day was Eggs, Sausage and diced potatoes.) It switched every day, but only those two options. In addition to this there were fresh oranges, doughnuts and toast, as well as Orange Juice and Grapefruit juice.

The exercise room was adequate and clean, and had an amazing view. The only real downsides were the pool (which was a little smaller than I would have liked, although it was clean) and the internet, which while free was very sluggish.

The cleaning staff was very good, almost too good, as they put away the pull out couch beds every morning. Was slightly annoying, but it was clean :). Always 6 clean towels, three towelettes and two face towels.

The parking was very reasonable, although I suspect this was because we were at the end of the vacation season.

All in all, Good Hotel, Absolutely Incredible staff. (Especially Sam).
