our family of five stayed 2 nights and were satisfied with the deluxe room we had. room was clean and ready when we arrived. staff was friendly and helpful pool was clean and warm
only problem we had was the VERY VERY loud bathroom fan
the light and fan are on one switch and every time anyone used the restroom the darn thing had to be on though it is close to disneyland it is still a rather long walk for children would stay again pizza at the sand box grill at the hotel was great!

We stayed at Desert Palms for three nights in December. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and accomodating, and the best part was it was a very short walk to Disneyland (maybe 10 minutes from the front door of the hotel to the Disney gates). The free breakfast wasn't fancy but it was good and filling. Our room was larger than usual (as it included 2 rooms, one with a king size bed and the other with bunk beds and a couch). Overall a great place to stay. I only have two complaints: 1) the mattress was really hard which is not comfortable for me (but my husband loved it) and 2) it tends to be noisy because the beds are right by the entry door and it sounds like there is no soundproofing at all in the walls so anyone walking by your room sounds like they're having a conversation in your room. If I stayed here again I would bring some ear plugs, but overall a pleasant experience!

We spent 4 days at the Desert Palms with 2 kids to do a Disneyland trip. I had a very frustrating experience with Travelocity and the hotel in terms of an advertised room upgrade that was going to require more hassle than it was worth to sort out. Upon arrival Sana immediately resolved the problem for us in 2 minutes vs the 2 hours I spent on the phone with Travelocity and hotel management. She was very courteous to me and my family, including sending back my son's glasses that were left in the room. Her customer service skills were probably what made the property worth returning to again.

The hotel is basic but clean. We were at the park from open to close so we only needed a clean quiet place to sleep and it served that purpose. if you want a California Grand type property go elsewhere. It's about a 10 minute walk to the park which worked out just fine for us and the breakfast was very basic but it met our needs.

We had a party of 15 and we stayed four days. The rooms we had reserved were not what we got and king beds were changed to double queens. The suites (with two bedrooms) were so cramped we could not fit a stroller in the room let alone the crib we needed to use for the 2 babies with us. Checking in took 30 minutes!
The quiznos closed over 3 months ago, but the hotel's web site still shows it's open.
The hotel is close to the park and there is a small entrance into the disney parking lot a block away where you can ride the parking tram, but the hotel staff evidently did not know about it. The told us to walk about 6 blocks farther to the main disney entrance.
Find a better hotel for your money.

The hotel is great--right next to Disneyland and a real bargin for how nice it is. A trolley picks you up right out front and drops you off right at Disneyland and does the same for a return trip. The hotel serves a very nice continental breakfast all included in your room charge. There's a microwave and refrigerator in the room as well. The rooms are clean and well appointed.

Solid value for our two-night stay on 10/31 and 11/1. We were assigned one of the non-renovated room, which was older and had older linens, comforter, chairs, etc.

The hotel does go 3 for 3 in my criteria of what I like in a hotel; free breakfast (eggs and sausage patties onr day, eggs and biscuits and gravy the next), free parking (although they were repainting the garage) and free Internet.

The walk to Disney Maingate wasnt too far either and took less than 15 minutes.
