The room we were given was very spacious and you can also see the firecrackers from Disneyland/Disney California Adventure. The staff were great. We nearly ended up with a handicapped room when we reserved for a deluxe room, but the gentlemen was able to ugrade our room to a more spacious suite.

We stayed four nights and had lots of fun. Breakfast was fullfilling. You get to bake your own waffles and toast your bread!

Happy Family

When planning our Disneyland Trip I came across this hotel..it looked fairly new and for the price I couldn't refuse. The Front Desk workers are GREAT and FRIENDLY. We got there very early and they had rooms available for us. Our room was on the bottom floor, the only complaint that i had was the noise level above us.I did inform the front desk the next morning and they promptly moved us. The rooms were very clean as well! We call for extra towels they promptly brought them to us! Yes worth staying!

Got a great a great package deal for this hotel that included breakfast, so we went with it. When we arrived we were greeted by the front desk staff that was always very helpful and friendly. The lobby is very nice and well kept. When we arrived in our room we were very pleased with how clean it was. I opened the blinds to check out our view only to see another wall five feet away. It was very quiet at night and during the day. I never heard anyone from inside our room other than ourselves.
The breakfast was actually very good for being complimentary. Not only was it good, it is one of the best free breakfast's I have ever had at any Disneyland area hotel, and I have been to more than a dozen. The breakfast staff is very attentive, and kept the area well cleaned and stocked. We always found a place to eat, and one morning we took breakfast back to the room by choice.
The hotel staff that cleans your room is fantastic and they go the extra mile to make sure your room is taken care of on your time schedule. I always returned in the early afternoon to a fresh room. Oftentimes at other hotels I come back and it's not done til late afternoon. A huge thumbs up to housekeeping, keep up the great work.
The pool is kind of small, but it's clean and well stocked with towels. I was very unhappy with how families were treated in the pool room on 6/17 in the afternoon. One family was "horsing around" in the water and one of the pool maintenance guys yelled at everyone to get out for five minutes (after this family knocked two lawn chairs in the pool). He started to clean the pool and five minutes later he told one of the guests ( not me or some of the others) that nobody could get in for 20 minutes. So that left everyone wondering, When can we get in the pool? There should be a posted sign saying something like, You may enter the pool at such and such time. Even the guy at the gift shop has a sign that says when he will be back, this would work great. So anyhow, newly arriving guests were getting in the pool and it felt awkward telling other guests that "you can't get in the pool yet, and we don't know when you can" Very unfortunate situation. I will say that this was the only incident where I was unhappy with any of the staff at this hotel. The other pool maintenance guys were very nice to all of us, but really didn't say too much about the above matter. How could they, they were not in charge.
Free parking is wonderful at this hotel. In fact, you are guaranteed a spot. We didn't have to search and wait for someone to leave to find a spot in a full lot. If it's full (and it was one night) the front desk instructs you where you can park, how awesome is that. We weren't afraid to leave.
Hot water at this hotel is an issue. We stayed 6 nights, and two mornings we didn't have any. It was cold. We bird bathed it and carried on. A couple mornings we had plenty, and the others was kind of lukewarm and do-able. This could make or break me staying again. I can see where others would be very unhappy with this.
Overall, my stay was very pleasant, and this hotel is doing a great job. You can tell it's been well used, but isn't that the point? Well used means many people have stayed here. Thanks.

The only real drawback was the room was like a long closet. We chose this hotel because the room we picked had bunk beds (Yuha Suite), and it was within walking distance to Disneyland. It was very nice, that the room had a door and a tv for the kids and one for us. The breakfast was the best I've had free in any hotel I've stayed at, and the kids loved the waffle machines. My only complaint, really, would be that it was the first time I've stayed in a "suite" and it was smaller than probably any other hotel room I've stayed in. I'd definitely stay there again if we were to go back--I got a great deal for this hotel through a Disney package.

Paid extra for a bigger room, got a room half the size described/pictured. The room was old, small, stains/holes on sheets and we didn't have a window to the outside, only to the pool. The air-conditioner was in a separate area and we had a fan in the wall to blow the air into the main part of the room. Asked for a different room and the hotel would not accommodate. The free breakfast was nothing special to say the least, not much room to sit.

The only good thing about it is it is a 10 minute walk to the park.

Very nice hotel. We were travelling with our adult son and chose the Sahara Kitchenette Suite and were nicely surprised. Although it is practically speaking a kitchenette, it offered the facilities of a full kitchen with its big cook top, good size sink and cupboards generously packed with plates, glasses, cutlery and cookware that puts many an expensive hotel offering full size kitchens to shame.
Don't be put off by some older reviews complaining about noise, the hotel has been refurbished and although our suite faced Katella Avenue, we experienced no offensive noise. The beds and sofa bed in the lounge were very comfortable, everything was very clean, we were well looked after, excellent and attentive cleaning staff and helpful concierge. It has a nice pool and spa, a fitness room. They also offer a very acceptable breakfast with a choice of porridge, toast, jams, honey, fruit drinks, tea, coffee, yoghurt etc., plus a separate round counter with several waffle machines with the batter and syrup dispensers at hand. If you need help to cook them, the staff is very helpful. The breakfast room has an outdoor extension.
The location is excellent, at 10 minutes walk from Downtown Disneyland and the Disneyland and California Adventure parks, metro bus routes run pass the hotel corner. There is also a 7/11 store next door to the hotel with an acceptable range of foods at a conpetitive prices.

Room Tip: Look at them online.

My family have stayed here before and always return to Desert Palms Hotels and Suites due to the size of the suites, proximity to Disneyland, free parking and breakfast and wonderful staff.

My family of six enjoyed staying here while on vacation to Disneyland and surrounding areas.
