Stayed here for a week for a vacation and this hotel was everything I was looking for. They had a great continental breakfast and the services was nothing but excellent. They also had Disney tickets for sale at the Front Desk so it was a convenience to purchase it from them versus waiting in line. There was also plenty of parking in the area so it wasn't a problem to have a car. I will definitely come back to this hotel.

If your looking for a nice hotel to stay at close to the Disneyland Resort, look no further. I stayed here over the weekend and the staff was great. The free breakfast was better than most of the surrounding hotels. Homemade waffles, eggs, sausage and donuts for the kiddos. The pool was sparkling clean and the overall cleanliness of the property was great, including the parking lot. Thank you again to Steve for the great recommendations to surrounding restaurants and activities outside Disney.

My wife joined me on a business trip, so we visited Disneyland and were looking for a decent hotel at a good price.

Stanford Inn seemed like a fit. The price was very reasonable and the location was convenient for Disneyland. It also said it was recently remodeled.

Plus side:
- affordable
- relatively clean
- comfortable bed
- helpful staff

Down side:
- not a welcoming environment (not very much landscaping...feels like you are staying in a strip mall)
- not the kind of room you want to "hang out" in. It works for sleeping, not for lounging.
- after the impeccably detailed and clean Disneyland, this hotel is a stark contrast.
- the pool area looks old and in need of repair. And you have to walk across the parking lot to get to it.

Bottom line is if you are on a budget, this hotel will work. But, I wish I would have spend a few more dollars for a nicer place to stay with my wife. Probably won't return since there are a lot of inexpensive hotels near Disneyland that occasionally offer deals.

Stayed here with my three sons in kids suite. Boys loved the free on demand Disney movies in their room, affording me some good rest after a very long day at the Disneyland. Room was clean with new linens. Last year, we stayed at Residence Inn at about twice the rate. In terms of staff service, room cleanliness and meeting our budget, Stanford inn and suites was a great value. Lastly, wanted to drop a quick thank you note to the breakfast room staff for taking care of my sons. Thank you.

So three days before I planned on staying here I cancelled my rooms. Two weeks later (yesterday) I get a charge to my credit card for $140 and they claim I never cancelled. First of all... Who charges your card well over 2 weeks later without notify you first? And second... I cancelled over the phone with a guy at the front desk WELL before 48 hours prior to when we were supposed to stay. I've called 3 different times to resolve this issue and no one cares or will help me. I finally called my bank and they are investigating it and treating it as a fraud so I should get my stolen money back soon. What hotel does this? I will write this review on every single review page. DO NOT stay here!! They are crooks!

Hello Laren,

We apologize for the inconvenience.
Just to make the record straight, we never charged anything on your credit card in beginning of April. The transaction was made on the 16th of April and the very next day on April 17th we refunded the charges. The charges were made due to a "no show" because the reservation was never cancelled. Our front desk agents did verify your reservation but when asked was never given a cancellation number. If the reservation was cancelled, you would have been given a cancellation number, and of course, no charges would have been made.

Please review your credit card transaction to verify the refund, this process will take approximately 3-5 days. If by any chance, the refund was not given, please do not hesitate to contact me anytime.

Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience and we hope sometime in the future, you will consider giving our hotel another try.

They oversold the 2-queen room we were supposed to stay in, so they immediately offered to bump us up to a suite - the suite was fantastic. It had a bunk bed in an adjoining room, and two comfortable queens in the main room.

The staff was super polite and helpful. The office was comfortable and well maintained. the room was clean, as was the carpet.

We stayed here to go to Disneyland. At first I had hoped to just walk, but the front desk lady said the entrance was almost exactly 1 mile away. I spent the money for the shuttle tickets, which picked us up just a few feet from the hotel entrance. Definitely recommend doing the shuttle if you're taking kids to disneyland, they'll be too tired to walk back at the end of your day.

The room was clean and comfortable. Sure, it was no 'luxury hotel' with fine linens, but it was cleaner than a Holiday Inn we stayed at in San Diego the night before.

It was a pricier room - I think $114 for one night with two queens , but the price was consistent with the Disneyland area. I'd stay here again based on the cleanliness of the place and the flexibility/responsiveness of the staff.

Room Tip: Close enough to Disneyland, but still take a shuttle. It'll be a 5 minute ride, but saves you a...

Our experience at the Stanford Inn & Suites was very positive. The staff was friendly and attentive. It appeared that some of the front desk staff were being trained as there was some confusion - but that wasn't a problem at all. We were there at the tail end of spring break (April 4-6) and they seemed to be pretty booked. Yes, the breakfast room was crowded - but that is the case at many hotels we've stayed in. People enjoy having free breakfast! On the plus side, the breakfast is better than you find at many hotels. Scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, waffles (regular and blueberry), cereals, breads, donuts, fruit, juices and milk - all well stocked. We went to breakfast late (after 9am) Saturday morning and it was crowded and the eggs were gone - but within a couple of minutes, a hot batch was brought out. There are extra tables set up outside and we had a pleasant outdoor breakfast 2 of the mornings on our trip. We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suites, which was wonderful for traveling with teenagers. The kids loved the bunk beds and their private room and bathroom. (Something you may want to check on - the bunk bed room may get warm in the summer - the AC is in the main room). The room we stayed in had been newly updated and it was very clean and pleasant. There is an in-room safe and a refrigerator and microwave. We had no problems with the Wi-Fi. There seemed to be decent parking, the area was nice - about a mile from Disneyland, and we felt safe. I can't comment on the pool or hot tub because we didn't have time to use them. The pictures posted on this site that show peeling wallpaper, broken lampshades and old bedding are outdated - at least for the rooms that have been renovated - so please don't let those pictures dissuade you from staying at this hotel. Having said that, please keep in mind that this is an older building so understand that there may be some quirks. We did notice a faint 'old pipes' smell at first in the bathrooms, but the bathrooms were very clean and nicely re-done and everything worked (although the hot and cold on the sink in the main room were reversed - just something to get used to) and we didn't notice the smell later. We enjoyed our stay and had no problems. We always travel on a budget (large family) and were pleasantly surprised with the great value of the Stanford Inn & Suites - we would be happy to stay here again when we visit Disneyland.

Room Tip: If you don't mind having to take the stairs, ask for a renovated room on the 2nd floor away from...
