“Disgusting carpet. Staff was helpful and friendly”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 25, 2013 via mobile

Motel is very close to Disneyland. The parking is horrible, though. We booked through Expedia but the motel didn't have our reservations when we arrived at midnight with all of our kids. They front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful though. Motel is a good value if you just want a bed with no perks. The carpet needs to go. It's disgusting.

It's close to Disneyland and the convention center, but you get what you pay for.
We chose this motel over other similarly-priced locations because of the continental breakfast and the price. Don't make the same mistake we did!

Their idea of breakfast was Sunny D, room-temp milk, and coffee/tea water. There was a container of fruit loops and plain bread with butter. One day there was a bowl of hard boiled eggs(?!!?!?!). When asked about the pastries/muffins and fruit, they brought out a container of 8 glazed donuts that tasted a few days old. We ended up walking around the building to Carls Jr. for breakfast the rest of the trip.

Parking was OK and the elevator worked -though there is only one.

You have to PAY for ice and there is only one machine, located on the first floor near the office. The pool was microscopic and the "hot tub" was not even warm other then what the 108 degree weather provided.

Our room keys were deactivated 2x during our stay because they had apparently put in the wrong departure date, but the second time I was quizzed as to what I had done to make the key not work! The maids entered our room and woke my husband even though there was a Do Not Disturb sign on the door, and when the sign for our other room was taken, we couldn't get another because the maid didn't speak English.

We all ended up with bites on our feet.....motel?? IDK, but my money wouldn't be on getting them at Disneyland. Just sayin.

The cheap price did not make up for the lack of basic customer service or advertised amenities. While it's not completely horrible, I will be staying at another establishment for our next trip.

I stayed here with my husband and our 4 friends. We're a college-aged group taking a fun road trip together, so we were looking for an inexpensive room with 3 beds at a good price, and the Anaheim Carriage Inn gave us just that. It was clean enough, but as a bunch of college kids just looking for a place to drink after a day at Disneyland with enough beds for all the passed-out concerned, that wasn't a huge deal for us. The table and chairs was convenient for playing games, but with 3 beds and only 2 chairs the math was a little off. Speaking of math, there seemed to be about 100 rooms and maybe 20 parking spaces, but that's true for most Disneyland hotels in my experience. After a minor emergency, I returned to the hotel to take a shower midday and found no water pressure after 5 minutes of an extremely lukewarm shower. Waiting for it to come back on was inconvenient, and unexpected for 1 in the afternoon. The elevator broke down once while riding it, and was entirely unavailable during check-out when we were trying to pack our rental van. Denny's, Taco Bell, and Carl's Junior close by was awesome, and Target was only a block away. We paid cash, and only a 30 dollar deposit was required, which they refunded immediately at check-out after inspecting our room. The breakfast was only available from 7am to 9am so we never made it.

No real complaints, though. We got what we paid for.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor and avoid most of the morning-noise and nighttime lights/park...

First I must say, "You get what you pay for". That being said, I will share that the whole experience was okay and for the most part I can recommend this motel. The lovely brick building is now a garish yellow with bold blue trim. The lobby looked lovely on the internet but what we found was a gutted lobby. We had the double family suite and had lots of room to move around as well as good fridges and microwaves for preparing our own breakfasts. In the morning the motel served Sunny Delight, coffee, hard boiled eggs, fruit loops and white bread. The milk was not kept chilled. On other days there were mini croissants and shrimp cup of noodles. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable and the bath counter was very large and convenient for prepping for the day. The pool was tucked behind the parking area...kind of an after thought! We were a quick trip to Disneyland and close to other conveniences. Lest I sound like a complete complainer, please know that for the price, it was a good deal. One must keep that in mind when rating a hotel.

Room Tip: We were on the second floor so didn't have to deal with head lights and traffic in the lot.

so let me start off by saying this place is a P-O-S !!! We reserved this place back in February to be able to take kids to Disneyland in April . We drove 16 hours to check in at 2 p.m. As we got ALL our luggage down and into the room we did a walk through of the room that was given to us. We pulled back the covers to just one bed and it was filthy i'm talking make up on the sheets and pillow cases, cigarette butts on the window seal ( for a non smoking room ) and a dead cockroach on the toilet paper in the bathroom. As we continued to look around the room we noticed someones bag sitting next to another one of the beds in the room, there were two more travel bags in the drawers of the dressers. With all that, i figured that the room had already belonged to other people. I went to the front desk to complain about the entire situation and the employee behind the desk was NOT friendly AT ALL ! After all my complaints they decided to up grade me to a bigger room with no extra charge . Now remind you check-in was at 2 p.m after all this disgusting mess it was now 4 p.m. The second room DIDN'T have running water . We couldn't take showers or even use the restroom !!! We decided to get our money back and get the hell out of there . I ended up staying two hotels down and told them about our nightmare with Anaheim Carriage Inn and they were willing to accommodate us and we ended up in a NICER AND CLEANER PLACE. So in all i wouldn't recommend this place to any one !!!! .And one more thing , i had to tell them there was a dirty needle just sitting by the elevator and that they should pick it up before some ones child picks it up ...

After seeing several iffy reviews, we were nervous about staying at this hotel, but we needed a room large enough to accommodate 4 adults and 2 children and this hotel had what we needed at a good price. We were very pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The hotel is adequate. It is definitely no frills, but everything was VERY clean and the staff was excellent. We had a large room that would have been the equivalent of 2 rooms at any other hotel, it accommodated all of us with room to spare! We literally only slept in the room as we were in town to go to Disneyland and were at the parks from open to close. We did not eat the breakfast provided so I cannot offer a review on it.

This property had several very bad reviews and if it weren't one of the last affordable spots available during spring break 2013 we wouldn't have stayed there. We were pleasantly surprised, though. Apparently there has been considerable renovation and while it is still an old motel, it has all the amenities - hair dryers, shampoo, excellent in-room coffee, etc. Mattresses were new and comfortable, as were the pillows. Everything in the room worked well except for the clock, and that was replaced promptly. The staff was universally pleasant and helpful and the cleaners were hardworking and did a fine job. Breakfast was a little iffy - Froot Loops and Cheerios, toast, muffins and hard boiled eggs - but it filled the tummy. The swimming pool/hot tub weren't working. The location close to Disneyland is a big plus even though the advertised "two blocks" is about a mile.
