We stayed 6 nights in September and couldn't be happier! It is a stone's throw away from DL Resort, just cross the road and you're there... PERFECT!!
We were on the top floor which was great and gave us a wonderful view of the park... we could see Tower of Terror... very cool!
The room was perfect, I think it was a Family Suite?! It had a small lounge room at the front and then you went through the door to where the beds were. Perfect because we could put our two kids to bed and then hubby and I could sit up and watch TV or have a drink without disturbing the children.
The rooms were clean, tidy and quiet and the beds & pillows were comfy! Had a few problems connecting to WiFi, but with Macca's just down the road and iHop next door we were able to use their free WiFi if required.
It was HOT while we were there so we kept the air conditioner going, but when the cleaners came through each day they turned the air con off, so when we returned the room was like a sauna, this happened twice! I left a note on the 3rd day and the air con was left on!
Breakfast is minimal but ok if you're just after cereal and/or toast. There isn't alot of space to sit and eat though, so you've either gotta get there early or expect to take your breakfast back up to your room.
I was a little disappointed with swimming pool. The shallow end was still 4ft so a little deep for my youngest... but it did the job for a cool down.
All in all, we were very happy with the Desert Inn & Suites and if we go back to DL we'd definitely stay there again!

Hell Feliss 74,

We are indeed conveniently located right across the street from Disneyland's Maingate and we are glad that you loved our location. Thank you for your business and hope to see you again when your travels bring you back to the area.

We're Disneyland regulars - and always prefer a Family Suite! Top floor for noise control (we were still woken up regularly as Families move about their own rooms) & we were all set! Breakfast is minimal, but enough to start your day! Front Lobby was friendly & all went smoothly! Could NOT get WiFi to work for me at all in our room...which is frustrating. Will definitely always consider Desert Inn when booking Anaheim!

Just stayed 3 nights and this will be our place to stay for our yearly Disneyland visit. 3 minute walk to disneyland front gate. Perfect for families to walk back and forth for a break as it is so close. Rooms very nice. Clean, quiet with very firm beds but slept like babies and woke up with no back pain. Simple continental breakfast with all you need to get started. Nice pool and hot tub. We arrived early, parked and went right to Disneyland. They helpful staff. Peter was great! By staying here verses an expensive hotel we saved enough money for all our meals and gifts in the parks. Would recommend to anyone especially families because of close proximity. Hotel is modest and 50+ years old but has everything you need for a wonderful vacation. No complaints from this family!

We just finished another great stay at Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites!

It has been the only hotel we stay at when we go to Disneyland for the past 7 years.

You can not get much closer to the main entrance of Disneyland, the rooms are always clean, and each year the front desk staff seem to smile just a little more!

Room Tip: The 3rd floor seems the quietest.

Last week our family again stayed at the Desert Inn and Suites. The 2 bedroom family suites are the perfect set up for our large family when traveling to Disneyland. The location still can't be beat. Breakfast is enough carbs to get most of us started. I did bring some yogurts and different cereals to use as well. The fridge and microwave and coffee pot all came in handy. This year we were in rooms on the 3rd floor and they were nice and quiet. I seldom hear outside noise at this motel. The room was very clean which is appreciated when you have little ones. The only "ding" I can give is that some of the furniture was a little beat up but it wasn't enough to bother me. I've seen worse! The front desk staff are always pleasant and this trip was no exception. My only complaint is still the elevators. They're pretty slow during peak hours which is unfortunate when you have strollers and dont have the option of walking down the stairs. But all in all it was a great stay. We continue to recommend it to people and we'll be making our reservations for next summer as soon as our dates open up!

My last stay was in December 2011 for my honeymoon. We had the King Spa Suite.
Upon check-in the staff was friendly, and it was a quick check-in. Perfect after a 10 hour drive. The room was spacious and we appreciated the amenities (refrigerator & microwave). The spa worked great and was a good size. Our room was in the back corner of the hotel, near the elevator. So, we were anticipating a lot of noise, but it wasn't too noisy. We were surprised. The only negative part of the stay would be the bed. The king bed was very flat and rock hard. We booked a queen room for the next trip, so hopefully the queen beds are better than the king! The continental breakfast is not worth going to. A cheap pastry, small apple and coffee. Just go to Denny's or IHOP, they are next door!

Located directly across from the Disneyland pedestrian entrance. Location, location, location!!! A great experience overall!

Room Tip: Ask for a room close to the front office, so you don't have to walk across the parking lot.

We just returned from 3 days at Disneyland, something our Family does quite often. This was our first stay at this property. It is literally right across the street from the Pedestrian entrance to Disneyland. We booked on line with a 3rd party Web Site. The price was good, considering the days & time of year. Last minute we discovered friends were going at the same time & I recommended they book at Desert Inn. They did (last minute) thru the Inn, and received a bigger room (Suite sleeps 6) for the same price we were paying for the regular room. When we arrived, we asked about this and were given, also, the suite for no extra charge. I was impressed with this. The check in staff was very helpful ! We had Room 516. The room was small, but since we are only there to sleep, the space was adequate. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The biggest issue with the room is the 'separate' room that has the couch/hide-a-bed w/ TV. That room is really stuffy & was really hot when we arrived. The only way to cool it down was to turn on this 'fan' that is inside the wall that moves air from the Main room to this little room. The fan is so loud, it disturbs everyone in both rooms. After the first night we left the 'fan' off and the person in the little room just suffered. We left the main A/C on in the 'big' room the next day, hoping that the 'little' room would be cool enough to sleep in above arrival back that night, but Housekeeping turned off the whole A/C system, so both rooms were hot ! (we left a note the next morning asking them to leave the Air on and they did). Lastly, do not expect to really eat the Continental breakfast. It is the smallest offering I have seen (and our family has seen a lot over the past 10 years). Toast, prepackaged sweet rolls, apples & oranges, coffee, milk & OJ, & bulk 'corn flakes' + 'cheerios'. The kids ate it, the adults did not.
There is a microwave & good size fridge in the room, so we purchased Yogurt and ate Oatmeal with brought from home <bring your own bowls, as they only provide styrofoam>
Overall, I would stay at this property again. The location was fantastic, the rooms were clean & the beds were comfortable. Plus you can sleep 6 people for as much as the surrounding motels charge for 4.
