We just returned from another stay at the ménage, March 26th-30th. Our plane was late so we didn't end up checking in until midnight. Staff was helpful and pleasant as always even at that late hour. Nothing was open for food or drinks in the hotel at this hour on a Wednesday night so we settled for bed.
Bed was comfortable as was the bedding and the 6 pillows on the bed. The only problem with the bed is the low platform WATCH YOUR SHINS. Seriously be aware when you are walking around the bed.
As other posters have commented the hotel is starting to show a bit of wear, bathtub coating peeling, we had two rooms one bathtub drain wasn't screwed into the tub the other rooms tub coating was peeling in quite a few places. That being said the room was clean and comfortable, I felt it was a good value, even with the wear. We were on the fifth floor facing the freeway, if you are a light sleeper or need absolute silence you may need a lower floor. We slept awesome, with the air conditioner on you couldn't hear a thing. Didn't bother us at all. I have paid more for less comfort across from Disney.
It's a comfortable walk to and from the park, maybe a 1/2 mile in my estimation great for families with older kids. You do have to cross over a freeway on ramp and off ramp. Not sure how well small kids would do with that portion of the walk. It is all sidewalk however.
Samantha at the front desk was instrumental in finding us transport to LAX for our return flight, arranging all the details, calling to follow up with us as promised and leaving a message on our phone to make sure we had all the information we needed as well as to remind us to pick up the confirmation at the front desk. She was both professional and personable.
We had the breakfast buffet in the restaurant our first morning, it was nicely presented with many selections and fresh. Waffle bar, eggs two ways, potatoes, sausage, bacon, bread, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, fresh fruit, French toast etc. If you like a lot of breakfast I highly recommend it, and I don't like buffets.
The rest of the trip we walked across the street for Starbucks and a bagel for a smaller breakfast.
The pool seemed well used by quite a few guests, the jacuzzi was always full of what seemed to be unaccompanied small children, so we did not use it. An adults jacuzzi would be great but probably not practical.
I think it's a great value, great location, GREAT staff. I would recommend and stay again when in the area.
