I just hosted 55 people for my daughter's 5th birthday. This is a great, affordable options for people with kids 2-8. There is no charge for parking, and the food is also very reasonable. The kids love it and while it isn't Disneyland, I think my kids had just as much fun without the long lines and at a fraction of the price.

We visited with our kids and they had a lot of fun. Short lines lots if little rides, a petting zoo with giant goats, and a train around the park. It took just a few hours and that include repeats of favorites. The food was not good however and pricey for what you get. Pack a lunch!

I have a 2 year old boy, and it was his first time at an amusement park. So he was scared of most of the rides. Got him to ride the merry go round, Rescue 911 (pretend driving), Crank & Roll (mom had to push him the entire way) and the train. He enjoyed the puppet show. Took him to the petting farm. Wish they had tiered pricing for younger toddlers, since there were very few things my son would or could ride on. They charge full price from age 1 and up. But definitely a family friendly park, at a more reasonable price than the other local amusement parks. We'll have to come back when he's a little older and can enjoy some of the other fast paced rides. Also, it's best to get there right at the opening (10am) in summer to avoid lines, lots of day camp/kids groups later in the day.

Never heard of this place until recently, and have been back twice because most (if not all) rides were designed for kids under 12. Very economical, especially if you have AAA. Even though the rides look a little worn, they are surprisingly fun for adults.

Food isn't too bad, and not as outrageously expensive as the bigger theme parks in the area. It is a little limited in size, which would explain the economical admission price, but the kids love certain rides and usually get on them back-to-back, so a larger park is not necessary.

Get there when they open and enjoy a couple of hours without crowds. Once the crowds show up, you may want to go get lunch and come back in a couple of hours. Parking is free and plentiful, not a lot of walking involved, so I would say plan on spending at least four hours at the little theme park that could.

This review is way overdue. Adventure City has been a part of our family for over 10 years now. As we have celebrated several of our kid's birthdays at Adventure City. However I will focus this review on my most recent experience with the park.

Adventure City is a small theme geared towards very young to young children. If you got two to a eight year olds this place is optimal for it. The park is relatively small, but there are a lot of activities to do. The park also hosts a Puppet Show a few times during the day. A summary of the major attractions of the park include:

1) Thomas the Train Play Area - this one is right by the entrance of the park. It is a great spot to have the little ones play with Thomas train sets.

2) Train - The park has a small kids train that circles the park. It is a fun ride for the little ones. If you celebrate your small one's birthday at the park, they get to ride the train with the conductor.

3) Small Ferris Wheel - this one is geared to the really young ones although I have seen 6-8 year olds ride on it. A fun ride.

4) Carousel - Another ride geared towards the really young ones although it can be fun for the whole family.

5) Bus Ride - a fun ride that although looks not suitable for the really young ones turns out to be fun for all.

6) Barnyard Planes - fun for all.

7) Balloon Ride - this one is fun for everyone as well.

8) Petting Zoo - this is a fun part of the park where children can pet animals and feed them. Make sure you wash your hand thouroughly afterwards as the animals love to eat straight out of your hands.

9) Rollercoaster Rides - they have two at the park. The best one is temporarily closed but should be up and running soon.

10) Fire Truck Ride - this one is a lot of fun. Make sure you check that the sirens work on your fire truck for maximum enjoyment.

Food is primarily pizza and burgers with some small variety. This place is made for kids so don't expect much for adults.

For a reasonable fee you can host your child's birthday party at the park. We find that this is better than having a kids birthday party at home. The reasons why are as follows:

1) The party package includes free entrance to the park. This usually allows your guests to enjoy the park before going to the party and hence it is better than hosting people at home.

2) The package includes Pizza, soft drinks and an hour at their Party Station. You can bring your cake to the party and they will serve it for you.

3) For the party boy or girl they provide a t-shirt, a ride with the train conductor on the train and being part of the puppet show.

4) Best part is that there is no clean up afterwards.

Well those are our family experiences with the park. Hope to see you there!
