“Great Location, good rooms”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 19, 2011

We stayed here the weekend of Dec 9th-12th. You cannot beat the location of the hotel. Across the street and there you are! We had 11 people in 3 rooms and although our rooms were spread out across the property, we didn't have to go too far to get to the other rooms. The rooms themselves are decently big for 2-4 people. The mini-suite is nothing more then a standard room with a pull out couch. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but we ended up finding spots in the back of the property, where 2 of our 3 rooms were anyway. Overall I was pretty pleased. I'd stay here again just because its just so much nicer not to have to catch a shuttle or walk too far to get to our beds.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our property. We appreciate the feedback our guests provide. We do look forward to having you stay with us once again. Next time hopefully we will have your rooms closer to each other. Please make note that it is easier to provide rooms next to each other if they are the same room type.

Stayed at this hotel Dec 1-9 , The location is Key. We stayed in rm 305, stayed here 6 times in the previous years and have looked at other places but always returned here, Found out later we were on a smoking floor but would have never known it. They did have work being done on the roof which was a bit noisy but we didn't come to sleep in :). Rooms are clean and spacious, and the staff is friendly. cons are the parking charges and stalls are tight., Clean room, and proximity to the parks are great. I would stay here again!

Just back from a three night stay at this property. This was our second trip to Disneyland and our last stay was at a hotel that was a 20 minute walk from the entrance. This time, we wanted to be close. For those of you searching for a closer hotel--this is it. Besides the Grand Californian (which is on the property), I belive this would be the closest ou could get to the Disneyland entrance. We had family staying at the Disneyland hotel and they had a longer walk than us! Don't be fooled though--this is not a Hilton, Westin or Four Seasons. You are getting a average to below average property in a great location. The service from the front desk people and other staff is very good. The room cleanliness was acceptable, the property itself is in dire need of an upgrade. I felt like I was staying in a cheap-ish motel. The walls are paper thin and we could hear traffic, people, power tools (at 6:30 AM) all day and night. Having said that we were in the park most days and only got back to the hotel at night.

The pool is O.K. and the hot tub is what you would expect.

I don't think we will book at this hotel next year. We'll be looking for something a little more recent and a little more nice.

Room Tip: Ask for a room near the back.

We stayed here December 1-6. Unfortunately, the Grand Californian (where we stayed last trip) was not in our budget this trip, and we wanted to be as close as possible to the parks.

We were very pleased with our stay. The room was nice as well as clean; the bed very comfortable, and we took advantage of the microwave and fridge to compliment the free breakfast (after a trip to Target 2 miles away). As others have stated, the breakfast is sparse (everyone looked pretty grumpy eating it also), but it is free. Management - I would suggest adding some different flavors of yogurt, bananas and some condiments for the hard boiled eggs (at least hot sauce!). Also, a toaster out on the line so that guests could have hot toast and bagels if desired would be great (ended up eating hard boiled eggs on cold toast and the same strawberry yogurt each day which was not so fabulous).

The very best thing about this property is it's proximately to Disneyland and the California Adventure. We could be at either park in a little over a 5 minute walk. Will definitely stay here again!

We stayed at this hotel November 27-December 1, 2011. I thought that this place was outstanding. The staff was very helpful, the beds were comfortable, warm showers with plenty of water pressure and right on the corner across the street from Disneyland.

The only thing I could say they need to work on is the continental breakfast, yes it was free but yuck.

I will def stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back are very quiet.. If you have 4 or more people the king suite with two connecting r...

This was a great place to stay for our trip to DLR. it was clean, the staff was VERY helpful. and all went on without a hitch.

We got our reservations for 2 rooms about 2 months in advance thru Costco. When I paid the bill in full I contacted the hotel to see that the rooms could be side by side or at least close to each other. They said they would "see what they could do". I expected from other experiences they it would likely be close but not too close. Well they gave us side by side in the 3rd floor with a view of Disneyland. (although the Palm trees were blocking Space mountain but you can expect them to cut down the street trees)

We have stayed at the Fairfield and the Disneyland hotel in recent years and the Park Plus was a bit above the Fairfield and a bit below the Disneyland hotel.

the location cant be beat, as it is literally on the entrance to the resort. Id estimate even closer than the Disneyland Hotel, monorail not withstanding.

The hotel was quiet with the exception of the early AM hours 5am or so when the Disney staff lovingly starts the process of power washing & blowing off the sidewalks. I think a room in the back would NOT hear this noise, but this is par for overlooking the park and being across the street.

The Pool was SMALL looking (never went in the pool area) but we never thought about using the pool even with the late November 85 degree temperatures.

the room was clean seemed updated enough, with nice wall papers etc, and bath tiles, but it was smallish and the beds were Not queen size, they were adequate but it was noticeably a smaller space than the Disney Hotel room that we last stayed in.

the Free breakfast was a nice add on, and one of the reasons we chose this vs another hotel within the block. it was simple with cereal, boiled eggs, pastries, bagels etc. coffee juice etc. plenty of carbs to get the day started. I figured this would save us $15 per day vs. McDonalds or a lot more if we ate in the park one extra meal.

Parking came with a cost, but it is the same as the other hotels in the area.

Overall this was a great place to call "home" while at the parks for a few days. and I WOULD stay here again, as the value was really included on this deal.

I did not give a 5 star rating ONLY because this would be for the Disney Hotel or the Grand Californian with the extra Disney add ons that of course come at a price.

If you are looking for an ok room near Disneyland this place is great. We loved that you could walk to the main gate in 5 minutes or so. We were on the third floor in the back, which was nice and quiet. Overall though this is a fairly dated hotel and is due for an update. Things like 12 channels of low def TV on a old tube tv seem pretty non-standard to us these days. But, we came into town for just one night then were hitting the park all day the next day and this hotel is super convenient for that.

Few things that were bother some.

When we showed up the fridge was turned way down and was not even cold. We did not have much to put in there, but would have been nice to have it semi cold when we arrived. We could have asked for another room I suppose but seemed like a lot to ask for a couple things.

The beds were so high our three year could not even climb up without having a chair next to it. Our 5 year old could manage but with some work. Forget about sitting on the edge of the bed and putting on your shoes or socks. Luckily there was a couch in the room. The beds were pretty soft too.

The other thing that we were not aware of before we arrived is that your parking permit for the hotel is only good until 3pm the day of check out. We wanted to spend all day at the park, and to be very fair the staff was very helpful and did allow us to keep our car there until 8pm. But not sure if the hotel were full again the day of check out they would have allowed us to do this. Just something to keep in mind.
