My husband and I went to Disneyland for our honeymoon, and stayed at this hotel for the duration of the visit. I've stayed here before, and have always had a good experience. This was no exception.

Our room was very large, with the large closet. The smallest portion of our room was actually the bathroom. This was fine for us, but perhaps not that great if you're staying with more than a couple of people in the room. A fridge was provided, but no microwave (actually, when we asked about the microwave, we were told we could be provided with one at an additional rate of $25 for each night of our stay!).

The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous- it's designed like a castle. The lobby area is very warm and relaxing. The only downside is that the hotel's layout can be a little complicated (husband and I got lost a couple of times on the way to our room). The grounds are gorgeous and well-maintained.

The shuttle system to Disneyland was very nice, and always on time. The persons in charge of the shuttle were pretty good about sending out extra busses at peak times, especially closing time.

The hotel provides a deli/convencience store, a restaurant, and a bar. The convenience store is over-priced by normal standards, but about in line with what you might see at any other convenience store in nearby hotels or at Disneyland. The restaurant is very expensive (thought tasty) for their evening meal, but the breakfast buffet is relatively reasonably priced.

We had no problems with the service. All of the staff were very polite and considerate.

There's only one other thing someone planning on staying here might want to consider. Because of the location of this hotel (surrounded by freeways), it's really not really "walkable". If your part plans to eat a lot of their meals in local restaurants off the grounds or outside of the theme parks, you'lll either want to rent a car or perhaps find a different place to stay.

We were originally supposed to stay at the Tropican Suites, directly across from Disneyland, but were "upgraded" due to a double booking. Shuttlebus took us directly to Sheraton from LAX Airport (approx 1.5 hours in traffic) Hotel was still just across the road from Disneyland, but all the way on the otherside. Great Hotel, everything you can expect from Sheraton, clean, great service, free Shuttles to Disneyland etc.. Hotel was great, but I would definatley recommend staying at one of the hotels directly across from Disneyland near the McDonalds. Its just a hassel at the Sherton to have to walk or get the Shuttle each time you want to go eat out, or go to pub. At night time its hard to find a taxi, and Sherton is a good 20-30 min walk from the city centre. Great Hotel, but for the same price I would stick to one of the hotels across from Disneyland

We spent two nights at the Anaheim Sheraton. Things got off to a bad start when we waited about ten minutes to check-in then we got handed off to a trainee that did even know where our room was. We were sent to the 4th floor for a first floor room. We were also told for the first time that we needed to pay an extra $10 to park our car! The lobby was very attractive but the rest of the hotel looked at bit in need of renovation.
There were none of the usually hotel amenities, no free wi-fi, no buffet breakfast, no free coffee or water in the lobby. Water was provided in the room but if you made the mistake of taking a bottle of water you were charged about $4.
For a hotel that was competing with other disney hotels, the pool was small and cold, the temperature on the pool thermometer said it was 77, my child became too cold to swim after about 10 minutes.
The hotel does provide a shuttle to Disneyland running about every 30 minutes, it is a good thing because it is about a 30 minute walk and the gate on the parking lot never worked properly in the five times I used it. It was permanently up most of the day and twice in morning I had to race out on another car's bumper just to get out. The van in front of me had the gate come down on the top of the van.
The rooms have small TV (tube, about 20") and the worst reception I have ever seen in a hotel. There was snow on half the channels, I even checked to see if the TV was connected to the cable, it was so bad. The curtains would not close completely leaving a 6" gap near the wall that let in light from a street light outside the window, keeping the room lit all night. There was no way to control the temperature in the room. The room became stuffy at night and the thermostat was either disconnected or inoperable.
As I said on the check list, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable, I was just very disappointed with the overall quality of the room and amenities for a Sheraton Hotel. In a time when my city provides free wi-fi, I don't expect to be charged for it in my room. I would recommend staying at one of the other hotels in the area.

We travelled to Anaheim with a 6 month old baby and other members of our family in April/May 2009 and we were delighted with our choice of hotel. We are planning to return in a couple of years (once the new attractions are built at Disney).

The rooms were massive, the cots were brilliant, the maid service was excellent, the reception staff were without doubt amazing as were the Deli staff.

The Deli is excellent for breakfast, and allow you to heat up baby food in their microwave. which was of great assistance to us. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast twice, although the food was ok, the service was not as good as the rest of the hotel (in my opinion). I would stick to the Deli for breakfast.

Although close to Disney, it is a 25 minute walk, so the shuttle bus was brilliant, despite some of the previous reviews, when the bus was full, the hotel were able to provide an additional bus to and from Disney within about 10 minutes of the original bus times. Although free, the drivers were excellent, so we always left a tip.

The Guest Services Manager, Geoffrey deserves a special mention, he went beyond the call of duty when assisting us with things to do with a baby in Anaheim (after we were Disney'd out). He called a Nanny for ideas, a Babysitter, members of his family and a shop that sold baby clothes.

The only downside was the road noise (which is constant, but you get used to it) and the pool is a little on the chilly side.

Without doubt a great hotel.

Just returned from a 2 week holiday at this hotel, we went as a family group which included 5 adults and one 6 month old baby in 3 rooms, nice hotel with nice grounds which include a small swimming pool and jacuzi. The rooms were large and spacious with a fridge, coffee maker, TV and air conditioning, there was no in-room safe in any of the rooms however. We used the deli in the hotel daily, very good sandwiches and very friendly staff. The hotel also runs a free shuttle bus to disneyland which is excellent, you can also walk to disneyland from the hotel which takes around 25 minutes. The hotel has a 20% discount card that you can use in the deli/restaurant which we had to ask for from the concierge. Would stay at this hotel again in the future.

This hotel is lovely and was much better than expected. My partner, 2 year old son and I recently spent 4 nights here and were not disappointed. The exterior was very pretty and much more attractive than most of the other hotels in the area. Our room was huge with 2 comfy beds, large plasma, chairs, desk with chair and lovely bathroom. Out of a 4 stop stay this hotel room was the biggest! The staff were very accommodating and always polite and made our little boy very welcome. If visting Anaheim again would definately stay here again.

Arrived Mid Afternoon, greeted by enthusiastic porter and checked in by friendly male receptionist, smooth check in.

Rooms very spacious, two double beds which were very comfortable. Large tv, telephone, fridge and desk. Bathroom was a little on the small size but how big do you want it? Both the room and the bathroom were clean and towels, soap and shampoo were replenished on a daily basis. There was an iron and ironing board and also a hairdryer provided.

The gardens within the hotel were very peaceful as was the swimming pool and jacuzzi. The pool was heated but felt a little cool whilst we were there, however the jacuzzi was very warm and relaxing, there are signs telling you that you have to be 16 or over to use the jacuzzi but these rules seemed very relaxed as other children were using it. There is no lifeguard around the pool but at any one time there were no more than about 4 people in the pool at once. Plenty of towels are provided free of charge around the pool so no need to take them from the room and there were always plenty of sunbeds.

The Hotel lobby provides free internet use on the computers which is very good and printer facilities available for printing off things like park tickets, although there are notices that anyone under the age of 18 yrs should not use them. We let our daughter who is 10 use the computer but only when assisted by an adult. No-one commented on this.

We used the Restaurant quite a lot as there was nowhere else outside the hotel to eat. We were given a 25% off meals voucher and a number of kids eat free for breakfast vouchers which was very handy. There was plenty of choice for breakfast for both adults and children. I did feel however the evening meals were guided more towards adults although there were the standard Burgers, Chicken Strips and Cheese Toastie for the kids. The adults meals were plentyful and what we had were very tasty can recommend, Bistro Stir-fry, meatballs and pasta, Cajun Chicken Fetuccini, also the Chicken Satay (had a slight kick to it but very tasty). Breakfast was $13.95 all you can eat for adults and $8.95 for children but never paid for them as we had enough vouchers for the week.

There is a Deli within the hotel which will make sandwiches to order and also provide hot dogs, doughnuts, cakes, cereals, milk, biscuits, alcohol ($15 for a nice Chardonnay) and basically anything you could buy in a mini supermarket and the prices weren't that expensive. The staff were also very friendly.

You could hear the fireworks, bang on 21:25 every night which we couldn't see from our room but if you went down to the car park you had a good view. I will warn you though, they are very loud. (Airbomb just outside your window loud) The first night extremely jet lagged we didn't know quite what it was but soon realised. These last for 20 minutes.

There were no security boxes in the room however you had access to one in reception free of charge.

There is also a gym at the hotel providing plenty of fitness equipment which is open from 5am. (2 Cross Trainers,Running Machines and 2 bikes, bench and free weights)

You are issued with 2 key cards on check-in. One which will just get you into the room, the other will give you access to the car park, Gym, pool area (this is secure) and your room.

There is a games room for children which came in handy. (2 Pool tables, Air Hockey, Pac-man and Dance Mat)

There were shuttle buses running daily to Disneyland every half hour, if they filled up quickly they didn't hesitate to run another bus. The drivers were always friendly and helpful. You could walk to the park, however it would take about 20 mins and involved crossing some very busy roads and passing over a very busy freeway so definitely not recommended to families with children. It was a 5 minute run in the bus. The hotel is actually located at the back of the parks so in the brochure they are not wrong when they say it's adjacent to the parks.

We had booked a character breakfast in the Grand Californian Hotel within the Disneyland resort and had to be there prior to 7:30am which is when the shuttle buses are just starting, so we had a taxi which only cost $5.

Overall we had great fun in the parks and would recommend at least a 3 day hopper pass which allows you to go in and out of both parks throughout the day. You can usually find better deals online or you can get discounted rates within the hotel.

We were impressed with this hotel, the quaintness of it and the friendly staff, it was nice to relax at the end of the day away from the hustle and bustle of Disney and all the kids from the parks.

We went to Knotts Berry Farm which is about 20 mins away normally, however as we'd booked the holiday with Virgin, firstly our rep told us Virgin would provide free transport we would only have to pay for our entrance tickets. When I queried the price with our rep, she then confirmed that she had made a mistake and they did charge for the transport. As we were a family of 6 (and didn't have a hire car) we were told by the rep that we would probably have to have two taxis and it would cost around $20 each way per taxi. This would have worked out quite expensive so decided to book the trip with Virgin. We discovered later when attending our Character breakfast that you could get a taxi to accomodate all 6 of us. We were picked up at the hotel at 8:20 (apparently that is the time all Virgin trips are arranged), we then went on to pick up at two other hotels and onto a bus depot which was a bit run down. We had to get off the bus, present our tickets to the desk and be assigned to another bus, which turned out to be the same bus we had just got off. We eventually arrived at Knotts Berry at 9:45. An unnecessary trip in my view. So for future reference don't always think the Rep knows best! We did enjoy our day in Knotts Berry and were picked up at 18:00 prompt and fortunately were the first ones dropped off.

We only spent a week at this hotel as we moved on to Hollywood for our second week to stay with family.

The ages of our family were 59, 57, 37, 36, 10 & 6 yrs old.
