“Excellent boutique hotel with great rates, quick drive to Disney & easy access to stadiums, convention center & expressways”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2014

We stayed two nights in order to visit Disneyland for 1 day. Hotel exceeded expectations (which were already high from previous glowing reviews).

Beautiful decor (loved the artwork along the corridors) and spacious rooms with nice luxury touches you don't see at other chain hotels. Across from convention center and by the stadium - it was a short 5-10 min drive local to Disney parks.

I loved being able to go to Von's (also just 2 miles away) to stock up on juice boxes the day before. It's just off the expressway and within a mile away from two other expressway so very well located. The restaurant across from the hotel was decent for dinner. Breakfast was great - my son loved the Mickey Mouse pancake cooked to order! We enjoyed the hash browns, bacon, sausage, eggs freshly made in small batches instead of sitting out forever. Free parking and breakfast included was a big plus and was what made me choose this hotel a couple miles away rather than staying in an older Disney hotel.

Plus after a long day at the parks my 4 yr old and 70 year old father were much happier just getting in a car to go home instead of having to walk a mile back (even if you stay adjacent to Disney, there is still a long walk from the main gates back out to the road, for tired feet). Instead we hopped aboard a free ART shuttle right outside the gate and were dropped off inside the parking garage after a 5 min bus ride.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat and this was our first Ayres experience!

Practically everything about this hotel is perfect. The front desk service, cleanliness, comfort, noise insulation, rooms, etc.

The breakfast (included in the price per night) is great and the kitchen staff is very friendly. Of course it's not as vast as a full buffet.

I'd definitely stay again.

This was our second stay at this hotel, the last one being on our first wedding anniversary in July 2013. We decided to choose this hotel again based on our positive experience the last time. We arrived late, around 11pm and were checked in efficiently. Our room (201) was situated on the northeast corner of the hotel facing Katella Ave. The room was clean and temperature fine for the night. However, due to the construction on Katella Ave there was an intermittent clunking sound when traffic drove over some metal plates in the road. This meant that by 6:30am, my wife and I were not able to sleep much. Breakfast was good but there were not any pancakes like the last time (maybe they're only made on the weekends?). Checkout took a bit longer as it appeared the front desk was a little overwhelmed with only one person available. Overall I still recommend this hotel but would not stay in the same room until construction is completed. This issue is not the hotel's fault but perhaps a warning would have been nice when checking in and an alternate room could have been selected.

First off...the beds. People had reviewed the comfort of the beds. The NUMBER ONE reason we choose this property was the beds. They were very cozy. Not too hard and not too soft. Slept through the night just fine. Then there was the noise factor. It was right off Katella and Hwy 57. There WASN'T a sound to be heard in our room. We were on the third floor in the front. Seriously there was NO sound from the road or freeway,
Breakfast, buffet style situation. A cook was there to assist with the hot items. Then there was the normal hotel fare to round out the breakfast. Never ran out of food. Nightly reception. Nice. Not a big choice of food but it was FREE and welcomed. The staff, well, they were all top notch. Friendly, helpful and polite.
Oh yes, if you ever need convenience to the Honda Center, well it's across the street. It is also right on the Anaheim Resort Transit route #15.
GREAT PLACE and GREAT STAY!!

Room Tip: They all seemed nice as we walked around when Housekeeping was working.... We had a KING room.

This hotel is more of a boutique type than a regular hotel. The lobby is French modern with a wonderful fireplace. Week nights a social hour in the lobby with free wine, beer, and canapés. Our room was large with a poster bed, desk, easy chairs and very clean. We were ill one day and the maid brought extra towels. New Year's eve they supplied us with champagne flutes to toast the New Year in our room with friends.

Room Tip: Away from Katella Ave. quieter

I've rated Ayres Hotel Anaheim before (excellent!) and am pleased to do so again. I LOVE this hotel! The room is SO clean! Clean sheets, clean floors, clean bathroom! The bed is SO comfortable that I checked into buying one the last time we stayed there. (It was very expensive, so we didn't end up buying it, but I wish we had.) Every member of the staff is very friendly and gives you their complete attention. We will ALWAYS choose this hotel when we come to Disneyland!

Room Tip: Accessible rooms are really large. The vanity area is smaller than a regular room, but still very a...

We (two friends) spent one night at the Ayres Hotel Anaheim the day we returned from a Princess cruise. The location was perfect as one of us took the shuttle to Disneyland for her first-ever visit (only $5 for a day-long shuttle), and the other went off to visit relatives who live nearby.
We were beyond-amazed at the elegant lobby, hallways, and rooms. Of course the furniture is reproductions, and the paintings on the walls are reproductions you may even recognize from famous world museums. Everything worked together to create a delightful upscale atmosphere at an affordable price. The room had two queen beds with a louvered screen wall between the two beds, so two friends traveling together each had a sense of personal space in a very large room. The bathroom has a large tub (big enough for two?), but California is experiencing an historic drought, so please (since I live in California) take short showers instead.
The afternoon beer/wine/softdrinks/cookies in the lobby was a nice touch. We enjoyed the varied breakfast buffet very much. The cook made pancakes to order and they were delicious!
The general manager Marcus Collins was at the front desk and well represents the upscale atmosphere and level of service we experienced. We would gladly have stayed longer at the Ayres Hotel, but we had to head back toward home the next day. I will certainly recommend this hotel to friends visiting Anaheim/Disneyland.
