My wife Jess and I just visited Disneyland for the first time and decided to try lunch here. What a great decision! Right in the middle of New Orleans Square, Café Orleans served up some tasty vittles at a reasonable price. We put our name on the waiting list 10 minutes prior to their 11:30am opening and were the 6th party seated. The service was a little slow at first (just opened?), but once they started, our meal was served quickly and our drink glasses were constantly refilled.
For appetizers, I tried the Gumbo and Jess ordered the Pommes Frites, both of which were very good. I ordered the Vegetable Ragout with Blackened Salmon for my main course, which was excellent. Jess ordered a Chicken Sandwich, which was good but not great, but the Sweet Potato Fries on the side came with a zesty Remoulade sauce that made up for the sandwich.
We've been to New Orleans and enjoy good Cajun and Creole food. We weren't expecting much from The Café Orleans but were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. It was a pretty authentic New Orleans restaurant. We will eat here again on our next visit to Disneyland!
