Candycane Inn was a surprise~ We stayed at nearby hotel for a few nights before we decided to stay extra night at candycane inn. We got a premium room which cost extra yet the service was excellent - they delievered breakfast to our room in the morning. Everything was pretty nice except for one thing. This property is located right next to a big power line. If you don't mind too much about powerlines, I strongly recommend this place.

A great place to stay. We stayed at the Candy Cane Inn for 7 nights in Sept. 2003 and had a great time. We had a standard room which was a few dollars more than some other hotels in the area but well worth it. The room was spotless and the service was great. We especially enjoyed the pool and spa which is privately located in a mini-oasis. The pool area is very clean and well maintained. Beware of other area hotels that have their pool located in the middle of the parking lot surrounded by pavement!! This was really a great place to relax and enjoy the sun!
The staff was very helpful and friendly and made our stay enjoyable.
The location is great. A 7-eleven and ABC mart are located directly next door. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the Disney ticket booth. We spend most evenings at Downtown Disney, a 15 minute walk up Harbour Blvd. The only caution, if you're travelling far by Taxi, don't take the front desk recommendation. A Yellow Cab is much cheaper! I know because we travelled to LAX and Pomona by cab and yellow cab was $40 and $15 cheaper. Tony Romas is a 10 minute walk, Convention center 10 min, the Coast Hotel 10 min south on Harbour has excellent breakfast but pricey. I have stayed in another Disney area place and it was a dump so beware. Overall, our experience at the Candy Cane was 9/10.
Good Luck.

I stayed at Candy Cane Inn originally for one night, but I enjoyed my stay there so much that I booked it a SECOND night! A gentleman named Rory was always there for our needs. Their staff is not only commited to giving good service, they genuinely ENJOY serving their customers.
For example: I had mentioned to Rory that we were going to take the next shuttle to Disneyland. We were not paying heed to the time. They held the van for us and called our room to tell us they were waiting for us ! By the way, the FREE shuttle departs every half hour. They treated us as real people not a room number. The Inn has a Disneylike feel to it as well. Green wrought iron in a Main Street style reminiscent of the park with flowers and well maintained flora throughout. Pool and jacuzzi was very nice as well. Our room was great.
Oversized pillows, refrigerator etc! The continental breakfast was substatial and also saved us money. Factor in the free parking at the motel, the free shuttle service and free continental breakfast and you come out WAY ahead staying here!! a very enjoyable and memorable experience!

My brothers, sisters, and I make trips to Disneyland nearly every other
month. Although we have stayed at other hotels in the area (Desert Inn,
Disneyland Hotels, etc.), Candy Cane Inn is one of the best places to
stay for the price. This hotel ...
* is an easy walk from the Disneyland front entrance (even if you have small children)
* is clean and very quiet for the area
* offers a plentiful continental breakfast including cereal, bagels, toast, fruit, juices, coffee, milk
* is substantially cheaper than Disneyland property hotels and only marginally more expensive than other hotels nearby

Highly recommend this hotel -- We've never paid more than $95/night for
this place, plus tax, and we generally pay in the $70-80/night range.
We've tried cheaper places nearby, but it's not worth it.

This is an average two story motel with exterior corridors, however it is literally covered in flowers, so it was beautiful. There was an extensive pool-side breakfast which made it very convenient prior to heading out to Disneyland. Also, the shuttle leaves every half hour.
The ONLY problem is coming back on the shuttle in the evenings was difficult. We were literally shoved aside by the masses who wanted to get onto the shuttle!
