I was nervous after reading the reviews here, but our stay was excellent. We spent two nights over Christmas here to go to Disneyland. We prefer to stay at La Quinta's for their generous pet policy (our two aging dogs go wherever we go). Since we are military, we have stayed at 20+ locations over the past 8 years. We travel frequently.
The property is no frills - it is what it is, but for the money it was more than enough. As I said, we stay here for our pets and to us, that is priceless. We had a King Suite on the 3rd floor (I think, maybe 4th? Its been awhile now). It had a jet tub in the bathroom, the bed was nice and comfy, and the sitting area had a pull out couch. Its not brand new but it also was clean. No issues around our stay - we parked outside of the garage the entire time, and when it was Christmas Eve and we needed a late night snack the front desk told us that the Cheesecake Factory (right across the street) was staying open a little later, so we were able to eat.
No issues with our stay. Disney is a short car ride away (about 3 minutes). If you don't have your own car you probably *could* walk, but I don't know if you'd want to.

One other plus about staying here with young children is that its not nice enough that you're going to worry about what they are touching. Its a great place to rest up and dust off in between going places on vacation!More
