Enjoyed a 4-nite stay at PPH, but paid a $800 premium when a sixth guest required "upgrading" from a standard room for 5 with concierge service to a suite. Concierge service would have been $100 more per nite! We asked for a higher floor and got a 10th flr suite with a great view of the DCA park and DL fireworks. It had 2 roomy baths, 2 queen beds, sectional sofa, table for 4, micro & fridge. Got a welcome tray of Mickey treats. Turn-down service nightly. One elevator was not working during our stay, so slow service at park open and closing times. It was working the next week.

Walked to DL via Grand California Hotel, but walking from back of hotel to DL Hotel to monorail was shorter, except monorail only stops in Tomorrowland, so inconvenient since we used rentals only located at the park's main gate. The walk is about 10 minutes, but our senior needed a rest each way.

We hardly had interaction with PPH staff. Room was kept clean. Sometimes the Guest Services and Bell Desks were left unattended, with guests waiting for services. No casual quick dining alternative besides the vending machines. Kids enjoyed pool even though weather was cool. Lots of flotation devices for kids. Tons of towels.

Would like to stay at other Disney Resort hotels, but they are even more expensive. Stayed at PPH to take advantage of AAA package with fastpass. Don't know if we would stay at DL Resort hotels otherwise. A lot of people would say paying much less for a little less amenities is a better value.

We stayed there in sept 2004,with our 3 yr old son(first trip to d-land).The lady at the front desk was very nice she gave my son a signed pictur of mickey mouse that helped out alot he was strating to scared. The room was very nice 2 queen size beds, and very clean, with a great view of california adventure. We had a character breakfest the next morning which dident work out when of them came over to our table,so the waitress took our order and had it sent to our room,No charge. The pool was great alot of fun, with a big slide.very close to both parks. But a little to high in price you are paying for the disney name. But over all great vaction

This was our third visit to Disneyland. Always staying at the PPH. Every visit was better than the next. Staff was great from the front desk personal to the housekeeping staff. Room was very clean. And the food in the resturant PCH Grill was yummy. My daughter and I will be returning in August for the 50th celebration! Bought a package...Guess what? We're staying at the PPH. Hope to see you there.

This is such a mediocre hotel I'm surprised that the Disney Corp keeps it on the books. Elevators are glacially slow. the pool is small. the desk even slower than the elevators. Our "non-smoking" room reeked of cigarettes and when a complaint was lodged we were told that 100% occupancy didn't allow for a switch. More complaining evidently drove some guests out and we were eventually accomodated. The rooms are small and weirdly lit. The choice of restaurant on site was unusual for families with small kids (Japanese; I'd like it but they need a bland, inexpensive kid menu). You'd be much better off staying somewhere else like the Disney "Californian" across the street or an off-property hotel. It isn't even particularly close to to the park. I had a thoroughly mediocre experience and I travel on business frequently. Way too much $$$ for way too little hotel.

Is this really a Disneyland hotel? Disneyland and California are so well taken care of - however, this hotel leaves a lot to be desired. We asked for a non-smoking room and were put in a room that just stunk (BAD) of smoke. It was Sat. eve and we were told that we couldn't be moved until the next eve. due to no available rooms. The next day we were moved but they had no record that we had called twice to be moved the day before. Room service lousy. In both rooms the tub hardly drained or very slowly. Staff courteous once you make your way to front desk but lines very slow. One person usually checking people in - inefficient during busy times. The coffee maker is absurd - literally one cup at a time. Decor okay. Beds and pillows comfortable. Blankets had holes in them. Carpeting frayed. Not worth the price.

Our family of 4 (H,W,Kids 2, 13) enjoyed staying at this hotel because it is in the heart of Disney. I can't speak enough of the benefits of staying on the Disney properties. It is just so convenient to be able to walk the 10 minutes back to your room to swim, nap, change, etc, and it's like you are continually basking in the Disney experience. It will add to the excitement of your Disney visit and is definitely worth the extra money spent on your vacation to stay at one of the Disney hotels. O.K. now , for the hotel. This hotel is neither luxurious, nor upscale, but more family fun oriented and pretty basic. Our room was good sized with standard two queens and a daybed, a desk and chair, and a fridge and safe. It was impeccably clean, new, and there was a great attention to detail by the housekeeping. We had a theme park view on the 8th floor and it was really beautiful at night, with a full view of California Adventure. The biggest plus and minus of the hotel is that you have a really nice walk from this hotel, cross the street and then through the lobby and hallways of Disney's Grand Californian hotel. It is a magestic beautiful hotel reminiscent of a grand ski lodge, with marble floors, beautiful woods, fireplace, etc., which walk then leads you to the side private entrance of California Adventure. The walk is less than 10 minutes. The huge minus, ha ha, is that you keep telling yourself that you wished that you could afford to stay at the Grand instead ( or have chosen it instead) and then you want to give an evil eye to the people walking through the lobby in their room supplied supple white bath robes heading to their deluxe pool. You feel like "yes, I have a Graco stroller and I'm just walking through your hotel, like I'm allowed to and after I'll walk back to my budget Disney room". I felt like I do at home, living in my condo in the midst of million dollar homes. There's no escape!!!!! Do not use the hotel phone for long distance. Our teen, without permission, called her b-friend for one minute each night and each call was $6.71. Almost $20.00 for 3 minutes of calls to an adjacent area code. On the whole, this hotel was really great. I would just suggest walking through Downtown Disney instead so that you can better appreciate this great family hotel, rather than comparing it to "that other Disney hotel."

Last August my family stayed at the Paradise Pier for three nights. We booked a standard room with a view of the park. It was great! Two Queen beds and a huge bathroom! I am currently planning a trip for this coming August with my best friend Ava and her mom along with my mom and me. I want to stay at the PPH but it is very expensive! Around 225 a night! We are currently looking at the CCI, but not to say the PPH was really nice!
