“Cars Land saves an unremarkable park”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

California Adventure lacks the magic of its older partner, Cars Land, a recent addition, begins to address the deficit. DCA has more thrill rides including 2 roller coasters. It may not be worth it's own admission. but it is worth a visit.

“We had so much fun!”
Reviewed May 13, 2014 via mobile

It was our first time to California Adventure, and we had so much fun! The Radiator Springs Racers ride was exciting! We had pictures taken with Lightning McQueen and with Mater. The background in Cars Land is awesome! The Pier and the Wharf areas are fun places. My favorite ride was Soarin' Over California. We saw the Muppet Show in the Hollywood area. Bugs Land was cute. We enjoyed meals, snacks, and shopping in California Adventure Park. Care is taken to make the Park safe, clean, stimulating, and fun.

“Wow, what a change”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

I have not been here for awhile, but let me say...this is a must...A MUST. We usually to to Disneyland and skip this park...that is no longer allowed. You need to get two days...at least...at both parks. CARS LAND is amazing...high praise. They Added the Disney touch to a lot of the rides that when they first were presented , we're not up to par. Soaring is always awesome. Grizzly rapid run, GREAT. Tower of terror is the ultimate thrill ride....really well done. We stayed at the grand Californian hotel, which leads you right into his park, and remember my wife saying that "we have to walk through here to get o Disneyland"... Now, we really stayed at oth parks equal time. They entrance change hey did was great....it truly feels like Disney. Did I say how awesome cars land is......Went with 13 for a family gathering, and no one was disappointed...ages 4-16. And 5 adults. Had something for everyone. Little mermaid to California scream roller coaster...don't forget toy story mania. Bugs life, to world of Loro fireworks show. WHATA TRIP

“Saved by the Aladdin show”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

This park's theme just doesn't work. It's supposed to be a celebration of California, so there's a fake foresty bit, some fake big rocks, a fake Monterey wharf and piers, a 1950s diners and cars bit (sadly minus the Fonz) and a 1920s high street. But having just seen the real California, why would you want to visit the smaller plastic one? If you don't have time or money to do both this park and the Disneyland park, stick to Disneyland. This one is also more Pixar themed whereas Disneyland is more classic Disney themed. We did pretty much everything we wanted in one day, but that was without children and without queuing for any rides. We enjoyed ourselves and took it for what it was but there is a sense of something missing. The parade is fun, especially if you like Pixar. The model using strobe lighting to show how animation works is the coolest thing in the world. There's a massive theatre which was showing an abridged stage show of Aladdin. it was stunning! Lion King in the West End quality (but much shorter). Great singing, dancing, effects etc. Don't miss it. The major downside is the food. Very, very hard not to just eat sugary, fatty nonsense. We thought we'd saved ourselves by eating at the 'Italian' in the wine section. Er, clearly not staffed by chefs who have been anywhere near Italy. Not nice food at all. The staff are all super helpful and friendly and very good at gently organising crowds.

“Love it more than Disneyland!”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

Terrific way to spend the day -- so much to do and see! Love all of their attractions. Their food is way better than the food at Disneyland.
