This location is home to the Minnie and Friends Character Dining event. Though there is the Ariels Grotto Character Dining across the esplanade at California Adventure, there are two things to consider: Minnie and Friends is the only Character Dining inside Disneyland, and it also offers characters other than princesses, so it won't be as insulting for little boys to be there having a good time.

During the character dining, if you attend this location for that, the food is all you can eat, and includes many types of baked goods, as well as pancakes, waffles, and other house prepared dishes that my wife is crazy over (even though I don't think it's all the best things ever). The drinks are a good assortment, and there are some that are individually packaged which you can grab to pack with you for later in the day.

Speaking of later in the day, this location is also home to the best food deal you'll get in Disneyland park: The Specialty Chicken. This is a platter that includes three pieces of chicken, and two sides, or something. I believe the chicken pieces usually consist of a breast, a thigh, and a leg. If dark meat isn't your thing, because I know for sure it isn't mine, you may have the option to upgrade to all white meat for an additional few dollars. The regular platter costs around $15 at this time, and prices are subject to change at any time.

I have recently read that the Plaza Inn stole away the Sweet Memories Cake from the Carnation Café, closer to the entrance of Disneyland. If they have, they have stolen a winner, as the cake was beyond delicious when Carnation Cafe served it.

The view of the fireworks from the seated areas outside are just ok. There are a number of trees that will be blocking your view, but the crowd isn't going to be as insane as it is in the central hub area, which may make the blocked view more than worth it.

If you're celebrating a birthday here, call ahead, and for a small extra fee, they can make you a nice pirate treasure chest cake, which was surprisingly tasty.

Had some dessert in advance of the evenings fireworks. Chocolate cake was great and the view of the fireworks was excellent however sound wasn't quite as good as being elsewhere but it was worth it to have comfort and space around us.

We had a great character breakfast here. The food was delicious and we met every character from Capt. Hook, to Minnie, to The Fairy Godmother

If you want yummy fried chicken in Disneyland come and get it at the Plaza Inn. The Plaza Inn is located in the Main Street center hub. The fried chicken meal comes with 3 pieces of moist fried chicken (breast, thigh and drumstick), mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and a biscuit. Enough for 2 to share. This fried chicken is tasty but not greasy. The Plaza Inn does serve other food too and does have a character breakfast in the morning. The lunch and dinner is not a character breakfast. They open at 12noon for lunch and most times there is a line outside waiting for it to open. They also will let you refill your drink while dining and give you a to go cup to refill before you leave. WOW! That is just unheard of in Disneyland. We always try to dine here on our stay in Disneyland. We crave the chicken when we are not there. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. It is a quick service/line type of restaurant.

I love the food there. They have good spaghetti, chickens, mashed potatoes and dessert. Everything these is just too good. Loved the view of Sleeping Beauty Castle when eating meals outside during the day or evening. It may be the best restaurant to pay the prices for meals, while other some places are expansive. Really enjoyed it!
