“What was once a great character experience, seems to have lost the magic.”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

We always look forward to the morning breakfast with the characters. It is one of the highlights of the trip for the little ones. The most recent visit was disappointing. We showed up for the reservation and were told to step aside until they could prepare a table (was very busy). They offered us a table outside, but we declined because it was raining and chilly for the small children. We waited for our reservation 30 minutes after the scheduled time. During the wait we spoke with a cast member Jim who really acted as if he didn't care that we were still sitting to the side while we observed multiple smaller families wander by within the same reservation time. He shrugged his shoulders when we politely asked how long we would need to continue waiting. Once inside, it appeared like it was complete chaos and definitely not adequate space for the amount of people they scheduled.
This was one of the first times in my many, many Disneyland visits that I observed cast members not smiling and what appeared to be lack of staff.
We tried to make the best of the experience and our children eagerly waited for a character to come by the table. On a number of occasions our table was skipped as was others in the area. After waiting and passing time in between the character breaks, my husband finally went and spoke with a cast member. He asked if they would direct a few characters to the area.
This was once the highlight of the trip for the kids.
We left the breakfast disappointed and will likely not go back for awhile.
This may have been a bad Tuesday for the Plaza. I hope others do not have the same experience as it was always so much fun for the kids in the past.

“Elegant Beauty”
Reviewed March 27, 2014

The Plaza Inn is a lovely place to dine while in Disneyland Resort. Located next to the Tomorrowland entrance with
beautiful views of the Sleeping Beauty Castle.
The restaurant is one if the original restaurants in Disneyland with some of the original décor provided by Mrs Disney.
It is a buffet style restaurant serving American fare. Suitable for family dining. Prices range from $15 - $29 USD.with annual passholder discounts available,
Outside dining is available but don't miss the opportunity to see the lovely Victorian décor including the beautiful stained glass ceiling.
Character breakfasts are also held at the Plaza Inn but you would need to make a booking which can be done on line or call (714) 781-DINE or (714) 781-3,463.
I highly recommend that you make the Plaza Inn apart of your Disney dining experience.

“Character Breakfast”
Reviewed March 24, 2014

We took our 8 year old grand-daughter and 12 year old niece to the character breakfast at the Plaza Inn and were delighted with the number of characters that were there, as well as the wonderful buffet meal. Many of the "original" characters walked around the restaurant, inside and outside, signing autograph books for the kids and taking time for pictures. The kids loved it.
The selection of breakfast foods was incredible and everything was delicious.
We had made a reservation the day before through the information center located just inside Disneyland. No problems in getting our table on time when we arrived in the morning. As the weather was beautiful we sat outside and the characters roamed around the tables giving generous amounts of time with all of the children (and adults). Line-ups for the food moved quickly as they have food stations spread around for easy access to the variety of foods.
It was lots of fun and we would highly recommend it as it beats standing in line-ups trying to get an autograph or picture from the characters in the park.
