“Excellent service, nice room”
Reviewed September 13, 2007

Stayed here on visit to Disneyland. We liked the hotel very much. The room was nice, average sized, extremely comfortable beds. The bathroom was stocked with high end soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner. We had a balcony overlooking the beautiful pool which was never crowded. They had zillions of lounge chairs arranged around the pool each with a neatly folded towel. The pool was sparkling clean as was the hottub and we enjoyed both after a full day of tramping around the parks. When we first checked in (several hours early) the room they gave us had not been made up. A call to the front desk got quick action and we were reassigned to a room that was ready. In addition, unasked, the manager gave us a $50 credit on our bill for the mistake. Since the hotel charges a daily parking fee of $20 that was very welcome. All the hotel employees were friendly and never failed to greet us in the halls, the lobby, the restaurant, and at the pool. We were there on Sept. 11, and the hotel had a brief ceremony out front where all the employees and some guests (everyone was invited by letter left in the room) gathered to remember the anniversary of the terrorist strike which took so many lives. I thought it a very nice thing to do as it does not seem right to let the occasion go unacknowledged even on vacation.

My husband and I stayed there Sept. 3rd - 9th 2007 for a Honda Convention. Thought the hotel was very clean and close to everything. We did a lot of walking just to see where everything was. Never got lost. Disney only couple blocks away. Concierge was so very helpful and pleasing to talk to. Shuttle pick-up right outside. In our room the Windows were braced shut with only 3-4" opening. Maid service was right on the ball except for the coffee area. Never refilled creamer/sugar packs. Lead to some mornings w/o coffe, but My husband went down to coffeeshop. Pool was emptied and cleaned while we were there. Hot tub was nice. Bring lots of money not only costly at hotel but every where in California. We had to leave for airport 4:30am and found out Starbucks don't open until 6am. Started the day off with "no" coffee. Airport counters don't even open until 6am. It was a nice stay and would reccomend this hotel to my family & friends and would stay there again.

The Anaheim Marriott not only met, but exceeded my expectations. Every staff member I encountered was very professional and truly had an attitude of serving others. I checked-in early (around 1:30pm) and had no wait at the reception desk and was greeted with enthusiasm. My room was ready and just as I requested, King Bed on a high floor. The room was clean, fresh smelling, and beautifully decorated. The view was wonderful – facing the Crystal Cathedral.

I was attending a conference at the convention center and chose this hotel based on its location and the reviews on this site. It was perfect! It truly is directly across the street from the convention center.

I loved the Starbucks in the hotel, especially the fireplace! They have great deli sandwiches and salads. Great place to grab a quick lunch while at a conference at the Convention Center. I learned this is currently the largest Starbucks in the world. Very cozy and nice!

I enjoyed breakfast and two dinners at Café Del Sol. Delicious food, very nice atmosphere and great service.

Another nice treat was the refreshing fruit flavored water in the hotel lobby for guests. I almost missed this, so check it out. It’s to the right of the reception desk.

I felt very pampered and cared for and the Anaheim Marriott. Highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at hotel for a convention at Anaheim Convention Center. Nice accomidations. We really enjoyed the pool. Nice hot tub. We asked for patio furniture on our balcony and they were able to accomodate us. We purchased our Disneyland tickets right in the lobby. Nice looking lobby.

We enjoyed having a Starbucks and Pizza Hut in the hotel. We did eat several meals at the Cafe Del Sol. The buffet was good however, the plates were always dirty every time we tried it. They must have a bad diswasher or someone isn't spraying off the plates.

I mentioned the problem to the kitchen staff and nobody seemed too concerned. The plates were dirty the next morning as well. We stopped eating in the Cafe Del "Sucio Plato". ~Cafe of the filthy plate.

Otherwise this was a great place to stay if you want to be close to Disneyland.

  • Liked — The pool was nice
  • Disliked — Dirty plates at the Cafe Del Sol buffet. Food stuck to dishes.

Booked through priceline at an excellent price. Pool was wonderful. Half of the pool and deck is covered which is nice for those of us that burn easily. Starbucks on site was great for an afternoon iced coffee poolside. Rooms were clean, tastefully decorated and beds were incredibly comfortable despite their size. We had two doubles with two kids and two adults. The Timon parking lot is a short and scenic walk past the convention center and across Katella, took the Lion King Tram to the parks. Parking is $20 per day, but it is in a secured lot and there were plenty of spaces. This hotel exceeded my expectations.

  • Liked — pool, proximity to disneyland, comfortable bedding, clean
  • Disliked — double beds, parking $20

We opted to stay at this hotel because it was a category 6 marriott hotel with a resort style setting.. Consumer beware. I agree with the previous comment they give Marriott members the cheaper rooms. Our first room had nothing that was promised in our reservation, it was very small, no sitting area, not to mention the potted plants were dead so there were just stumps in dirt, but you could see the irrigation line which obviously had not been run in quite a time. The second room did not have a balcony as stated we would have in our reservation, however if you looked out the window you saw that none of the rooms on that side of the hotels had balcony furniture, people were moving their desk chairs out to sit on. Our room was not made up on Saturday night, and when we phoned to ask why they said they could send someone up, we asked for fresh towels they brought 3 bath towels, no hand towels, no wash cloths. We also had trouble at the pool with people partying in their room and the pool. We have sent 3 emails and a written letter to management and have had no response. I suggest you stay somewhere else, but if you have to stay here confirm what you are suppose to get and then confirm it again. The hotel itself was nice, a far walk from the parking garage, food was pricey, but pretty good, parking is alittle steep, after all the garage is there anyway.

Spent 5 days at this hotel on a business trip.
Its located close to the Disney site, so is convenient for tourist/family trips there.
The hotel is easy to get to by car from either Orange County or LAX airports. Its an OK marriott hotel, room size was large, furnishings/bathroom/bed were fine. Front desk check-in was trouble-free & quick.
t was all inobtrusive, no major issues, all middle-of-the-road as far as US hotel experiences go. Would I recommend it for the tourist? - probably not, as I believe you can get better value for you money elsewhere in the area.
