We were here at a convention for 5 days. I must say the service was great and the rooms were great! I slept amazingly.

Only negative feedback: Terrible wireless at the rooms- I was never able to use it to call through Skype so I ended up calling through the phone hotel. Little did I know rate was $15/minute. I am aware that international phone calls from hotels are expensive... but that much?

Very close to disneyland too!

The hotel is very close to Disney resort, however this is an expensive hotel and almost every service that is complimentry in other hotels will cost you:
the hoter charge for parking 24$ (!) a day.
when you get a package to the hotel they will charge you 10$ per night per item if you don't take it.
breakfast is not included so you will need to pay by your own.
regarding the rooms - don't take room next to the elevator - you won't be able to sleep. i had to move a room...

Room Tip: don't take a room close to the elevator

Hotel clean. Currently road under construction in front of hotel but traffic still moves fine overall. Very close to convention centre and short shuttle to Disneyland and shopping.

If you are getting the Super Shuttle from LAX book both ways as it is the only shuttle to this airport and is very busy.

My company held a conference at the hotel (not the convention center). The rooms were adequate, not great. Food was overpriced and bland. Most of the folks working there seemed nice enough...except when they were telling you they knew a problem existed and they had no plan to fix it. Examples-

the wireless in your room is worse than dial up... when you call they put you thru to tech support who tell you "the network isn't working very well" not a 1 day issue was there 4 days. AND they want $12.95 for it

A colleague had bedbugs (at least I was spared that)

for a huge convention hotel.. 4 folks at front desk maximum... gives you lots of time to admire the lobby... and the elevators are overmatched for large crowds... gives you lots more time to admire the lobby

Nice kiosks in the lobby to handle getting your boarding passes... except they don't work for all airlines. Apparently the issue is they lack an obscure software called "Adobe reader". Front desk staff knows, no plans to fix

No bill under the door... so when the nice person asks "was the bill under your door acurate" the answer is I have no idea...

Lots of other small irritiations but you get the idea

A huge dissapointment

Drab. Bad beds. Mediocre food. Steak house closed with a convention of 6,0000 people, so down the street we go.
Not completely terrible for the price but about as average as a Marriott gets.
The staff in the restaurant are pleasant.
If you are doing Disney on a low budget this would be a good choice.
Understaffed all around.

Room Tip: Away from the pool to avoid revelers.

I travelled here from the UK with my husband and two children aged 20 and 17. After much searching on the internet and contacting other tripadvisor reviewers I settled on booking the Marriott due to its location for the itinerary we wished to do on our holiday of nearly three weeks. Unusual yes it seems to stay in one hotel for the duration we did, but one factor was that we didnt want to hire a car (the roads to us in and around LA look so scary and no matter what time we travelled on them they were very very busy) however we did want to do as much as possible.

So firstly the hotel, which is in a fantastic position for Disney. We have stayed in many marriotts and although this one is a little tired in places this is made up by the quality of staff service which is excellent, they are friendly and accommodating in every way.( A special mention to Larry and his concierge staff - Excellent in every way, from the concierge lounge service to the booking of trips, their service really did make our holiday enjoyable.) So the hotel is a little tired, the rooms a little small but it is clean and the daily service was top notch. We didnt have any problems with the room everything worked and the private balconies are great especially in the evenings. Also the room has a free fridge (which you nearly always have to pay a daily charge for in Europe) and we topped it up with yogurts, milk and juice from the local supermarket which is about 10 mins walk away.

The hotel has a pizza hut, (which we didnt use) and a Starbucks, which we did use daily. You can room charge these if you like so your ot messing with money in the hotel grounds. There is a safe in each room and a laundry if you so wish to launder on your holiday (not me !!)

The pool area is small; but we found it adequate, we never struggled for a sunbed even if all 4 of us went down to the pool together. Again the pool staff were great with drinks and food being served either by the pool or on the terrace.

We only had a few evening meals in the hotel as there are so many places to choose from in the area, but what we did have was good. Breakfasts we had in the concierge lounge which had plenty of choice.Starbucks was open for breaksfast though so you didnt just have to use the hotel restaurant.

So in summary if you want a clean friendly hotel with great service this is a good place to consider.

So now that I have admitted that our stay was longer than what is normally done (people seem to come here either for a few days, maybe a week or business trip) I will try not to bore you any further. But for those who might want to do similar to us read on as here is a list of some of the things we managed to do, without a car. (Dont forget the car parking is $24 each night at the hotel and then theres parking fees at the venues - some of our bus and taxi fares for the four of us were less than this)

Disney - you can walk in 10 mins or catch the Anaheim shuttle which is $4 each adult for unlimited daily travel

LA Tour - Booked with Starline via hotel concierge (this was a great day, crammed a lot in)

Knotts Berry Farm/ Knotts Berry Water Park - Anaheim Shuttle $4 each

Universal Studios - Booked with Greyline via hotel

Whale Watching & Beach Tour - Booked with Starline via hotel

Huntington Beach - Taxi

Outlets of Orange shopping mall - Anaheim Shuttle or taxi $4 each

South Coast Plaza - independant Shuttle bus that does hotel pick ups

LA Galaxy Football match (sorry, soccer match) - had to book a taxi for this cost about £40 each way but it was the easiest option to get there. prebooked a cab and the same guy picked us up without any hassle.

Angels baseball game - taxi from hotel about $8 each way i think

Bowling and cinema at Garden walk - easy to walk to

Flightdeck - about $20 return in a taxi

We had a great time in anaheim and the trips we did were fantastic. im not going to go into each trip individually but if you do want any more info please message me ill be happy to help if i can.

PS if your booking from the uk, we booked a package via Marriott packages, which included internal BA flights in the uk to Heathrow, Virgin Heathrow to LAX, shuttle transfers to the hotel and the hotel itself. Really easy, all done for us and good price, went without a hitch.

Happy holidays !!

Room Tip: Lower Floors tend to get a bit of noise from pool in the evenings so try and ask for a high floor

I was here at this hotel because I had to attend a conference at the Convention Centre. Walking distance to the convention Center and if you want even to the Disneyland. The room was clean but I can say a little outdated. The washroom didn't have an exhaust fan and with more than one person on the room was not so good. i had the room with two doubles - was the conference deal - $160/ night but with taxes I paid $1,200 for six nights - a little on the expensive side and the room was not so great - and no breakfast included. The staff seemed exceptionally friendly - everybody was saluting you - I didn't need any help from the staff anyway. The pool was excelent because it had a shaded area where you can sit or swim even during the hot day time. Do I come back to this hotel? Probably not if I have to pay for it myself - I could get better value for my money.
