We chose the Marriott Anaheim based on its' proximity to the park and though it was a good (less expensive alternative) to the Disney Hotels. It is close to the parks. We walked many times and it is a very easy 15 minute walk. There is one long light you have to wait for, but other than that it is a very straight shoot and there is a 7-11 on the way that you can purchase water at.

The hotel itself is dated and feels very tired. The pool is tiny and crowded and doesn't really offer the respite one would hope for (after hours standing in line). It is super close to the convention center and I would say much more of a business hotel than a family friendly one. We ate at Ruth Chris Steak House - just across the parking lot, which was good. The restaurants in the hotel did not seem that interesting. There is one desk in the concierge section dedicated to Disney, but honestly the woman that manned it was unfriendly and couldn't answer any of our very basic questions. In contrast, the regular concierge desk was incredibly helpful and one gentlemen went out of his way to help us find transport to SNA.

I would say it is a good choice if you are at the convention center, not a good alternative to the Disney properties. We stayed at the Doubletree and the Sheraton in the past and found both to be much more family friendly properties.

Clean room, nice staff and perfect location for the Convention Centre, less than 1 minute. Walked to Disney and Downtown Disney many times, about 15 mns. Starbucks onsite is very convenient, as well as many other restaurants within a short walk.

Room Tip: I had a room facing the pool which was nice. it is a bit of an older hotel, although very well maintained.

Yes, it's attached to the convention center so in many other places this would be an exscuse to allow service to be lacking. This was not the case at the Anaheim Marritott. As we had to be temporarily relocated to another hotel for the first night due to a booking problem, (understand these things happen), it's how the hotel responds to "make it right". In this case, Marriott went above expectation and made the experience remarkable. Starts at the top with leadership and they set the example. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Good location with a 15 minute walk to disneyland but the Hotel itself is a little tired and rooms are basic.

Pizza Hut seems to be always closed - breakfast is very good in the inhouse Cafe - I recommend sharing a meal unless u have a supersize me USA appetite.

Prices for drinks/snacks etc are obscene as usual - the ABC store up the road a bit sells everything at a lot cheaper price.EG Bud lite 12 bottles for around $11 while the hotel charges $6 a bottle.

I will try elsewhere if I return to the Disney area.

We had a great time on our vacation. The hotel staff were very friendly and courteous. The hotel was in a great location with lots of dining and fun things to do.

Room Tip: Be careful if you like to sleep late. There are a lot of families staying that are there for Disney!
