We stayed at the Fairfield inn in 2004 and 2005 great place to stay very friendly and the second time we stayed we had top floor so good for fireworks. We are finally coming back in November from Australia and this is where we will stay again , the price has gone up a bit but we are happy to stay there again excited to come back hope we get top floor again for our 17 nights stay

Perfect location for Disneyland. It is not a 4/5 star fancy hotel but it is very clean and has all most people need including free wireless. Our family stayed Wed-Sat, we could easily walk daily to Disneyland and also see the fireworks from the hotel at night. Run up to the 3rd floor to PizzaHut, Seattle's coffee shop, mini market perfect for breakfast and a gift shop. There are Washer/Dryer also for a quick wash when needed. The pool is not that interesting and the bathrooms are somewhat small. Definitely would stay there again.

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms may hear a bit less of the tour busses early in the morning. We were on a second...

Our family stayed here for 2 days in July. I was impressed the minute we stepped out of our car. The young man at the valet station was very nice and funny. We arrived early in the morning knowing that check-in was at 4. We booked a "Disney themed" room, and were told we could get into a Princess theme one right away, but I didn't think our 4 yr old son would like that.

So on our way to breakfast (right next door at McDonald's) and then about a 5-6 block walk to the Disneyland entrance gates. We got back around 4 and settled into our Toy Story themed room (which our son LOVED) had Pizza Hut and went back to Disneyland. Everyone on the premises was very nice and helpful. Valet service was beyond awesome. (Don't forget to tip those people!!)

Some things I loved about the Fairfield Inn Anaheim:
*the lemon and lime infused water at the entrance (mmmm, refreshing!!)
*3rd floor Pizza Hut and little market for snacks and breakfast.
*The game room (kids loved it)
*Kids Check-In booth.
*We had an awesome view of the Disneyland fireworks.
*Quiet!!! (We were on the 8th floor and it was very quiet.

Things to remember next time:
*The walk can be sort of long, especially when you have a tired preschooler who refuses to walk after a day at Disneyland. So if you are debating on bringing a stroller, bring it!!
That was the only downfall of our stay. Otherwise this is a great hotel and when we come back we will definitely be coming back to the Fairfield Inn Anaheim!

The location of this hotel is really nice if you're doing Disney. Our room was comfortable and clean, but nothing special. The front desk folks were hit & miss. Some were nice and others seemed like they really didn't want to be at work. Nobody in particular stood out as super friendly. The Pizza Hut on the 3rd floor is convenient if you're looking for a snack or a beer or wine, but it's not a real restaurant. It's more of a Target-type Pizza Hut. There's a game room off the dining area. It's small but is fun for the kids.

The pool area is fine. There are lots of seats and the pool is an ok size. It was quite full most of the time we were in it, but that's to be expected in August. The jacuzzi was nice but tiny. Our room overlooked the pool so it was quite noisy until 10pm. Again, that's to be expected in August. There are bathrooms in the pool area, which is convenient. They do have showers outside as well, but we couldn't get them to work. The only complaint I had about the pool area was that folks seemed to forget to put their used towels in the bin so there were towels everywhere. AT night you can see the fireworks from Disneyland from parts of the pool, which is fun.

We had an issue with our reservation, which was completely our fault. The hotel was kind enough to accommodate our mistake but we requested to talk to the manager to work out our issue. We booked the hotel through Disney and the front desk told us that the manager would be contacting Disney and would get back to us. We waited a day and a half and heard nothing back from management. So we called Disney ourselves and they tried to contact management as well. We spoke to Disney no fewer than three times to sort out our problem and the management never got back to us. That was extremely disappointing and it made us feel like the hotel did not care about us as guests. We still have two more days booked at Disneyland and we are going to another hotel on Harbor Drive tomorrow night for three nights at a much cheaper rate and higher ratings. Had we gotten our questions answered by management we may have returned but we won't be staying at the Fairfield again. I realize it's the busy season but a simple phone call would have gone a long way, even if to say that they couldn't help us.

If you're looking for a hotel that is a stone's throw from Disneyland, the Fairfield meets that criteria. However, there are many hotels on Harbor Drive and this hotel definitely wouldn't be my first choice. The cost and service standards just didn't jive.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool can be noisy.

Thank you for your review. We always appreciate honest feedback from our guests! We are so happy to hear that you found our location convenient and were able to take advantage of our pool and view of the fireworks! However, we apologize for the lack of follow-up regarding your reservation. Feel free to call the hotel and request Cara Marshall-Bryan to discuss the situation further.

We go to Disneyland one to three times a year. We use to stay at Pepper Tree to avoid the crowds. But, now we'll do the crowds because close hotels and walking are GREAT. We booked our short vacation through Costco and this was one of the Good Neighbor hotels available. It looked nice and got good reviews. We were not disappointed. A bit of a wait for check in, but not bad. Room was basic, but clean and comfortable. Loved that it was quicker to walk from the hotel then the time it takes from when you park and get to the park entrance. Loved having McDonald's close by for a cheaper snack on our way back to the hotel. HATED the restaurant in the parking lot. The highly recommended chicken tortilla soup was flavorless dishwater. My husband's meal was not a whole lot better.

Next we are trying a different hotel along that strip to compare. But I suspect we'll be back.

With our family holiday planned we had 3 rooms booked at Fairfield. On arrival at 10am, after a long flight from Australia we had some very tired children & with the check-in time at 4pm we thought we would have them sleeping around the pool area. But the amazing, helpful, receptionist promptly put our room on the priority list & we were able to have one room at 11.15am!!! We really appreciated this as our children could now have a few hours sleep in comfort. This Hotel was very conveniently located to Disneyland it was cleaned immaculately every day & the Staff were all very friendly. We also all enjoyed meals at the Restaurant. I would definitely recommend this Hotel to others.

So honestly I've never found a really nice hotel that is close to Disneyland. The Grand Californian is probably the nicest but it isn't that nice for how much it costs. I think there are just too many people coming through these hotels to keep them up. This is our 4th trip to Disneyland and I think I enjoyed the Fairfield the most of any of the places we have stayed. The big thing this place has going for it is it's location on Harbor. It is probably a 5-10 minute walk from your door to the front gates of Disneyland. Even with 4 kids this was no problem. The hotel setup is nice with a Pizza Hut Express/Market in the hotel and Millies and Minnies restaurants right there. The pool is small and in front and was packed with kids the entire time.

The hotel was obviously built to as an economy hotel originally with outside walkways and basic rooms. The Marriott has done a very good job with nice furniture, beds, etc. The rooms are on the large side. Because of the original architecture the rooms are equipped with window shakers for air conditioning. Our room had a great view of the DL fireworks every night. However note that to get this your room looks right at I5 and there is alot of road noise.

Of the hotels on Harbor I would say the Fairfield looks the nicest. A couple are closer to the main gate but I would rate this one the tops.

Basically we were in the park from opening until 8-10 pm every night so it is basically just a place to sleep when you do Disney. For that it works exceptionally well.

Unless you want to stay out and drive I personally think this is the best option for Disney.
