Lovely decor, great service and a beautifully presented gourmet meal at reasonable prices. Our server, Peter was an entertaining and gracious host. We will definitely be back.

Haven't stayed in this old gold rush days hotel, but have had dinner there. Atmosphere is wonderful with old brick walls and the rustic looks from yesteryear. The food was VERY good and moderately priced for fine dining. Service was friendly, but somewhat slow. Well worth the wait. The bar is historic and a nice establishment for dinner drinks. I would recommend this hotel/restaurant to all!

Imperial Hotel's restaurant is on the first floor of a two story old red brick building built in 1879. I recently attended a wine pairing dinner there that the Imperial Hotel occasionally does showcasing our great local Amador wines. Chef Eric Mullan consistently puts together an excellent tasty menu which you can savor with a large selection of local Amador wines, but also has a full old time bar.

There were 9 of us for dinner in their back garden. The food was very well-prepared, the dishes just right in terms of food quantity. None of us left hungry, which happens often at "chic" places, where the higher the price, the smaller the portions. The dining room ambiance is lovely and a nice change from being shoe-horned into a table where one has no choice but to hear others' conversations. The tables are larger than average with decent space around them. Service was excellent and the servers were refreshingly incognito; no "hi, I'm so-and-so and I'll be your server tonight." to top it off, the meal was surprisingly reasonable considered the quality, quantity, and ambiance.
