“Pony Express!!!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013

The service is very slow, we mentioned it to the waitress & she said their main cook didn't show up. So the manager was the cook. We were there about 3yrs or longer & nothing has changed on their service. We waited over an hour for our food, it was just 2 of us... No complaints on the food, it was good, once we were served. The help is very nice... But., they need to really work on speeding things up to serve their customers...

“Good Casual Servi ce, Good Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2013

Great little cafe for an excellent breakfast. We have been there several times for breakfast and always enjoyed it. They also have lunch and dinner available but we haven't tried those. The service is friendly and it has a great casual atmosphere.

“Where to start?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2013

Well.
We stayed at a friend's just down the road and he recommended this place along with a few others. However he said they did healthy cuisine - not something we associate American food with. However, we gave it a shot.

We went one day and they were closed (can't remember why) so we went another day to go and try it and were really happy with everything we got.

Attentive service bought us into a small intimate dinning area that was a little cool but kind of fitting for the interior.

We ordered from the menu and were delivered a huge plateful of food, fresh fruit, fresh warm bread, cake, fresh juice, gosh it was amazing and nothing like I expected.

It wasn't cheap, but I'm a great believer in what you pay for is what you get - especially with independents.

We went back again on our flying visit to Pasadena and wouldn't hesitate to go there again if we were in the area.

“Cute place for breakfast!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2013

We liked this place very much, it's smallish, and you can park in the lot in front of the restaurant. They bring out some tasty zucchini bread and butter for the table before the food comes. I had the Salmon Benedict, and my guy had the breakfast burrito with sausage. The sauce was delicious, and the English muffins weren't soggy at all, like they are at some places serving benedicts. The breakfast burrito was large, and full of fresh tasting ingredients. Coffee was delicious, too. We will definitely return to Amy's

“Delicious omelettes”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2012

Small 'mom and pop' restaurant with about 10 tables. We both had omelettes for an early afternoon lunch. Not exactly elegant (my omelette had whole spinach leaves grilled in pan, then eggs poured over and flipped so that all I saw on the plate were big grilled leaves) but quite delicious. My husband had the brie, ham, and avocado omelette, which he deemed very good. Fresh zucchini bread (gratis) preceded our meal. Bottomless glasses of iced tea.Quiet enough for a peaceful conversation. The tablecloth was gease-splattered under the glass, which should have been noted and changed out. The wait staff was mature and appropriate - no overly friendly kids here. Decor was a fake fountain and draping philodenrons. We will definitely be back to check out the pancakes and salads seen at other tables - looked scrumptious.
