“Great for families”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2013

This place is great. My family and I usually go here for dinner. Waiting for a table is not that bad during the weekdays. For the weekend, this place is always packed. The prices are very competitive with other Chinese restaurant around that area. The food is great, and we usually order x # of plates to get a special pricing for lobster or crabs (around $5-6/lb). Food sometimes arrive fast and sometimes slow depending how busy it is. The noise level here is loud. Overall this place is great.

“Authentic Chinese (Cantonese) Seafood restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2013

We went there for both lunch (dim sum) and dinner (seafood and such). Lunch is super reasonable in price, ~$50 for 6 people. Food was good and many varieties.

Dinner was more expensive. They happened to have lobster special, $5.99/lb live Maine lobster. Turned out the lobster was about 6 lbs. The lobster by itself is definitely not that heavy. I estimated to be between 3 to 4 lbs max. I guess if they weight by adding ingredient, it is possible. Either way, for $5.99/lb, even at 6 lbs is still a good price for a nicely cooked dish.

“One of the Best Chinese Restaurants in L.A.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 25, 2013

I had supper with families in L.A. at Top Island, very good Cantonese food with good service. We had 8 people and we paid $100 for the food, so the price is very reasonable. Top Island in Alhambra is a better Chinese restaurant than the Five Star Seafood Restaurant in San Gabriel.

“I will be back for more Dim sum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 23, 2013 via mobile

Great restaurant! The Dim Sum was very good and fresh. Value is just fine. Treat yourself with a dim sum dinner. By the way weekends is too crowded but I think it is park of the package. A great experience!

I will be back!

“Good for a quick snack”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2013 via mobile

The place has your basic chicken feet, shrimp bun, BBQ pork bun, and Shou Mai. All of them were decent. The service is fast and efficient. The prices are a bargain. The place is usually packed, so the food is freshly rotated. Not the best dim sum you will find, but a good place for a snack if you are in the area.
