Writing a review for Fensalden Inn is rather tricky. The Inn is the kind of place that makes you feel like you are home. The possibility of interacting with other guests, build a cross-word puzzle and the tranquility of the area are indeed lovely.
But perhaps I was expecting more for the money. Our room was supposed to be a suite, but only had one bathroom, which was small and nothing luxurious. I love taking baths and so this was a disappointment.
The host was more than welcoming, however, the breakfast left a lot to be desired. Good food, but not enough the first day, and same for the second. Not sure if this was a temporary thing because the lady of the house was out, but my boyfriend and I were expecting more of a hearty breakfast (as advertised).
Perhaps the highlight of the trip were Nannette and Betta Louise, two pet goats that are nothing short of cute, and ate everything from clothes to wood, to the cabin!
I would go back to this place, but definitely have my reservations.
