Wonderful opportunity to enjoy and unwind on the Mendocino Coast. Quiet secluded location but minutes away from gourmet dining. If you want to relax and enjoy the scenery, this is the place to go! Lynn and Bob are gracious hosts. Don't forget to say hello to Dominick and Nanette!

we loved the solitude of the inn. it is out of the way, yet only a mile from fine dining.

The mystery weekend this Inn offers was way better then I imagined. Also, the rooms are cozy, the food is great and the Inn keepers are exceptional! One last note, the towels were awesome.

Lyn & Bob, the owners here, have become family. They are incredibly warm and welcoming, and we miss them very much. We have stayed at the Fensalden 3 times in the last year or so. One of those stays was for our wedding, which was held on an expanse of green grass behind the Inn with the Ocean as our backdrop. We could not have picked a more magical location. Contrary to the other review, I can tell you that this Inn is only about 5 miles from Mendocino, about a 15 minute drive on Route 1. Truly, truly magical. We hope to return soon! Written with much love, Scott & Shelby.

We just returned from a trip to Mendocino and stayed at the Fensalden in in Albion. It was a great place to stay. The rooms were so cozy and the mattress was comfortable. The bathroom was a nice size as well. The Inn is located on a beautiful hill and they have 2 tiny goats Nannette and Dominique and a few geese. The inn is run by a very nice couple Bob and Lynn. They could not have been more helpful. The breakfast was included in the rate and was sooooo yummy. Lynn is a great cook. Every morning was a new fab dish. She has plenty of hot muffins everday and fruit.. I would suggest staying here for a romantic weekend or if you want to hang with some friends. Its only 109 minutes from Mendocino's main street. Make sure you eat at Ledford House which is one minute from the hotel. Fensalden is a great hotel.

We escaped to Albion (Mendocino) at a very difficult time for us. The serenity and beauty of Fensalden and the surrounding coast allowed us to forget our cares for a blessed two days! The inn is beautiful without being tense; the hosts very welcoming and
agreeable; the breakfast superb. The view from the portch of our very charming room (the Headlands room) was ravishing. Top marks!
