We stayed here for 2 nights in the Tower Suites. The Suites was fairly spacious and decorated very simply. Our stay was decent, with very unique breakfast dishes. I do have to say that the place felt very dated and even had cobwebs in the corners. On one of the nights I even had a bug crawl up my back while I was sleeping...needless to say I couldn't sleep the rest of the night. All in all, the property was pretty but our stay was just average.

We stayed at the Inn for one night and loved everything about this place. The welcome was very friendly and we felt like at home right away. Our room was upstairs and had a porch which provided great views of the coast lines and the lovely grounds. Make sure to take a walk around their property (they have a special hiking trail for that). Breakfast was a nice 2 course affair, you sit with all the other guests in the dining room at a specific time. Coffee and tea is available for the early risers.
We would defenitely stay again and wish we could have enjoyed it for 2 nights...

We just happened upon this beautiful bed and breakfast along a pastoral part of the Mendocino Coast, on a bluff with a view over the headland and the Pacific Ocean. The owners are very accomodating and the breakfasts during our stay in early April were warm and heartening, in addition to being excellent and unusual dishes. THERE IS A SPACIOUS FEELING INSIDE THE B & B AND IN THE SURROUNDING AREA, WHICH IS GREAT FOR EASY AND SCENIC WALKS. Nature lovers would enjoy much wildlife which is brought to close range by the owner's
bird-feeding station. The wild deer visited every day too, and we enjoyed the resident goat and ducks. We felt very welcome and at home and enjoyed special touches such as a fireplace in the room, complimentary treats and liqueor in the evening, and the owner's sharing of the area's history.

Room Tip: The headlands room had a view toward the ocean and a nice porch. The bed was just right!

Enjoyed everything about Fensalden. The view of the ocean is awesome. I love to see the fog rolling in and the cool breezes blowing. Molli and Chris are great host and hostess. Will return this year in May.

We had looked for a B&B close to Fort Bragg, most were filled or you had a thre day mininum.
We called Chris and Molly at Fensalden and he had a couple of rooms left, so we booked it for the weekend.
The inn is off Hwy 1, making the property feel more isolated and quiet. Chris welcomed us at the door and gave us a tour of the place.
The room was up stairs and very quite, you would have never known that the inn was full on Saturday. Breakfast was great, we enjoyed the company of the other guests.
On Sunday we were the only ones there so we got to eat breakfast at the VIP table (By the window, looking at the ocean). My wife and I recommend Fensalden any one thats needs a place to stay while visting the northern coast.

Thanks again Chris and Molly,

Doug and Jeannette

Our room had a Great view of the ocean and was clean, bright, and charming. The inn is not directly on Hwy 1, making the property feel more isolated and quiet. Beautiful property.

The innkeepers were very friendly and full of information on local spots and restaurants. Although we did not have them make local dinner reservations on our behalf (we just didn't know how the day was going to pan out), we got lucky and got seated at the Albion Inn Restaurant before they closed. Upon returning, we enjoyed the dark and quiet on the porch and drank the complimentary wine. We slept soundly and awoke to delicious coffee and breakfast in the morning.

This location was perfect for our trip (started in the bay area, went north on 101, stayed in Ukiah on first night, took Hwy 20 to Fort Bragg, made several stops on Hwy 1 as we headed down through Mendocino, stayed in Albion for second night, drove back south taking Hwy 128). The room was perfect for our purpose (getting far away from everything). We had a great time and left completely refreshed.

Room Tip: Some rooms have porches, some do not. Would recommend the upstairs room facing the ocean for specta...
