We really didn't know what to expect when we arrived at the Meal Ticket. From the outside, it didn't look like anything special and the decor inside was OK but not spectacular. The tip off to the quality was the number of diners present for breakfast. A problem is that the menu is quite big and varied and you have to place your order at the counter before you take your seat. I felt a little rushed. The four of us ordered a variety of dishes. I had the cornmeal pancakes with real fresh grapes and apples. They were light and fluffy. Another had the salmon dish which she declared the best salmon she'd had in a long time. The eggs, potatoes and bacon by the other two diners were enjoyed as well. Now that we know what to expect, we plan to return and try other dishes. The patio outside should provide for a pleasant experience when the weather is warmer.
