“A special Italian treat”
Reviewed February 24, 2012

A pleasant, small, neighborhood Italian restaurant on San Pablo near Solano. The food is good, and you can watch it being cooked in the open kitchen near the front of the restaurant.

“Great Resturant With Great Mix of People”
Reviewed December 14, 2011

Mangia Mangia is just a great friendly place to visit. The owners seem to know all of their visitors which makes this place seem like you are visiting someone's home. The menu is great, you can take your time and enjoy the food, and then they will surprise you with great desserts.

Only in the Bay Area would you see the eclectic mix of people eating together. One group was a beautiful black lady sitting with two older white guy intellectual types (must be a group of professors from Cal. Other groups included blacks, asians, and whites sittling together. You could almost feel you were at the United Nations eating hear.

Parking is easy.

Make sure you visit Mangia Mangia soon for great food, great atmosphere, and for that feeling like you are in the owner's home.

“Excellent salad, iffy main courses, caring service”
Reviewed November 6, 2011

The winter salad with lemon vinaigrette was knock-your-socks-off good. It was downhill from there in terms of the food, but the caring service made up for it.

“Perfect in so many ways”
Reviewed August 19, 2011

The restaurant is gorgeous and quaint. The food is perfect fresh, cooked-to-order italian - not your old noodles and canned sauce you get at other places. The staff is gracious and helpful. The seating is a bit tight and it vcan get a little loud when crowded. This our very favorite place in the East Bay.

“Little Italian Jewel in Albany, CA”
Reviewed June 13, 2011

Mangia Mangia started out a bit wobbly but through the years have worked hard on the food, service and pricing, developing into a little italian jewel in Albany, CA. The decor and atmosphere is warm and inviting, the menu is well thought out, especially the specials. The desserts are all to die for. The service is professional, the owners are always there to greet you. Excellent place to have a casual dinner, or celebrate an event.
