Had take out a friend's house. Wow, what a great meal. Everything was good. Vegetarian bibimbap reminds me of Seoul. Excellent stews and mung bean pancakes are awesome. Lots of vegetarian options. Definitely want to try dine in.

We ate here very nice lunch. The service is good. The food was tasty and we will commend on this place to our friends. We were not familiar with Korean food and it was nice to discover it.

The food at Bowl'd is delicious and interesting. The customers are mostly white, and Asian-Americans from various cultural backgrounds. We go here frequently because the food is both tasty and accessible. It is also a comfortable place to hang out with friends and out-of-town guests. The best dish is the stone rice-bowl where the rice gets crispy by continuing to heat against the side of the bowl. The mixed-grain rice is delicious. We've had the mung-bean pancake, the beef, and the chicken on top. The little dishes are fresh, and tasty, though you usually have to ask for the more adventurous ones. The spicy tofu soup and grilled meats are also good, but the rice bowls are their specialty. This is an accessible introduction to Korean food. For a more "ethnic" experience try one of the Korean places on Telegraph Avenue in Oakland.

Not being familiar with traditional Korean food, we didn't know what to expect. Thankfully, the owner and servers took time to explain the various offerings on the menu - and then how to eat them when our dishes arrived. Attentive, pleasant service. This is now one of our favorite places to take out-of-town guests.

My earlier experiences with Korean restaurants were of food so overloaded with garlic and chilis so that there was no distinction between dishes. Obviously I made a wrong start. This is a great place for gringos to take some steps to learn about Korean food. The very efficient and friendly staff will offer to explain all the ingredients and steps without asking. You'll get to sample some interesting nibbles--seaweed with a sweet dusting as a small appetizer, followed by little dishes of things like kimchi, fish cake, tofu with chili, and even a version of potato salad. Then the rice bowls--the menu helps you design your combos--dark or white rice sizzles at the bottom, a combo of greens and veggies goes atop, followed by your choice of meat. I usually go for the beef, but the spicy pork sounds like the next version to try. Then what looks like a ketchup bottle is actually chili sauce, but not crazily hot, so you can build up your spicy quotient as you go. Soon you will be craving it hot! All in one, it's a big meal, filling and healthy combinations. It's worth a stop when in the Solano corridor.
