You will see a number of families and groups enjoying themselves at this bustling and convivial barbecue haven. Unfortunately, the food is not exceptional. Ribs, the hallmark of any BBQ establishment, were tender but failed to deliver enough excitement in the flavor department. The sauce tasted like a variation on the original Open Pit recipe--it was bold and tangy but had an acidic and slightly "metallic" aftertaste. The tri-tip was tough and disappointing, but the cole slaw was terrific!
