While my parents were alive and living in Cherokee Village, Arkansas, we always came here when I was visiting. The food is consistently good (the catfish is great, and so is the shrimp), and the service is excellent. My mother loved the pattymelt. Highly recommended restaurant--the best it gets in rural Northeast Arkansas. Just a funny side note: The owner of the restaurant was cited by the local police for cultivating one marijuana plant in their backyard. The story made the local newspaper, The Villager, and then disappeared from the news, never to be heard of again. The police actually had a video camera trained on the plant for weeks to collect evidence that it was indeed being watered on a regular basis!!! The whole episode would work excellently for the old Mayberry show with Andy Griffith!!!

We really liked it here. Friendly people, good food and good prices. There was a line waiting to be seated, but we were taken care of promptly and never felt as if we were 'forgotten'.

My parents always stopped there. They were pretty picky but loved this place. I stop when in the area and the food is always good. Not fancy but well worth the stop. The onion rings are super.

Our family intentionally travels on 62 to Memphis so that we can stop at Meacham's. Hands down, it is the best food and service between Branson and Memphis. My husband loves the veal in the garlic butter sauce with the plump mushrooms. I tasted it and was compelled to go back in the kitchen to thank the cook. Tasted like a dish from the French Quarter in New Orleans. Chicken fried steak is fantastic; onion rings are hand battered; and white board of specials never disappoint. Not only is the food fantastic, but the service is excellent. Lucky for our family, we will be passing through this week and will enjoy some delicious food at Meacham's!

It was a decent sit down meal - we had the fish and chicken. Eating light.
They also served breakfast, but we had the continental at the hotel.
