“Great if you don't bring your pet”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2011

We were traveling accross country with our small dog and decided to stay here because it was pet friendly. Only problem is that because of our dog we had to stay in a cottage, not the main house (which had no guests the night we stayed). The cottage was rustic but very clean and comfortable. The only complaint about the room was the vey noisy air conditioner. We had to turn it off in order to sleep. This made it uncomfortable because it was very hot and humid when we stayed there. I didn't get much sleep. The breakfast was good, nothing fancy. The fresh fruit was outstanding. We were forced to eat in our room because of the dog and there was no table so we had to crowd around the desk. Not very comfortable. George was very friendly and nice. If you need to stay in the Carriage House I would recommend it when the weather is cooler and and you don't need air conditioning. Even though it is "pet friendly" you feel trapped since you are pretty much confined to your room by bringing your pet.

My husband and I stayed for one night here while he played the Robert Trent Jones course close by. This bed & breakfast was top-notch and we could not have been happier with our stay. George made us feel so welcome and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The fruit was beautiful (he buys at the local Farmer's Market!) and the french toast was also very tasty. We will be back if our travels take us back to this part of Alabama and we will give glowing recommendations to friends and family.

Enjoyed staying here while visiting family in Auburn. Great breakfasts and very accomodating. Also, very much enjoyed the use of the athletic club in town that is a bonus of staying here.

The house is just a lovely home for a B&B. George and staff are pleasant and welcoming. The facility is in wonderful condition. The grounds are breathtaking. Breakfast was fantastic, want to know where to get those yummy sausages. Our only regret was not having the time to spend more time at The Crenshaw house.

I spent 3 nights at this wonderful home. George is a most gracious and generous host and did everything he could to make my stay a pleasant one. The house is very nice and comfortable and it seems to attract a very nice clientele. The breakfasts served were tasty and plentiful and the rooms we well decorated and quite comfortable. If you prefer B&Bs over hotels and you’re traveling to Auburn, do yourself a favor and check out the Crenshaw Guest house.

My son and I stayed at Crenshaw House during our visit to Auburn University for Camp War Eagle. Our stay was excellent and meeting George Postell, the owner, was priceless.

Thanks George & team. We will be back !

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit to the Crenshaw House! Our room was comfortable, quiet and very large and the delicious breakfast Chris prepared helped us start the day with a smile. We also loved the convenience of being able to leave our car parked while we toured the Auburn campus, a short walk away. George, the owner helped us feel right at home and entertained us with stories about the history of the Crenshaw House. He even invited our nephew, an Auburn student, to join us for breakfast the next morning. Thanks, George! We'll be back!!!
