“A must for sunday brunch.”
Reviewed December 7, 2013

Local dinning at its best, with just that right feel of comfort to make a meal over the top. If you are local or just passing through the area one must stop and try The Hound for a causal dinning experience. From their amazing brunch, to their large selection of craft beer it is sure to have something for everyone.

“We enjoyed it!”
Reviewed December 1, 2013

My wife loved the atmosphere and the interior decor. I had the bacon cheeseburger with homemade fries and my wife had the Redneck Benedict with breakfast potatoes. The food was excellent and affordable. A great local restaurant in a sea of fast food franchises. We will visit again if we return to the area.

“Damn good food”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

My husband found the restaurant online and parking was an issue on a Sunday after an Auburn home football game. However, the parking issue and a wait for a table was absolutely worth it. The restaurant is rustic urban hip, with weathered wood lining the walls, antler and paint can light fixtures suspended from an open frame ceiling. I ordered the Fried Green Tomato Bennie and it was amazing. The Benedict take-off was based with super crisp Fried Green Tomatoes, topped with fried pork belly, fried eggs, fresh arugula and a roasted tomato aioli. Every component complimented the other, the pork belly was tender like a pork chop but had a delightful seared crust that played off the peppery arugula and the creamy aioli. My husband loved the steak and eggs and we also ordered gravy and biscuits for an appetizer, all of which were above par, but the Bennie was the show stopper! Also, the $3 basket of home made pork rinds is a must have, served warm yet still crunchy and airy, not too spicy, just right!! A little pricey, but worth every penny!

“Definitely different in good way”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

Ate here twice with a group of eight while at Auburn on business. We liked it so much Fri night we came back Sat. Like Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, they use antlers in all of their decorating. It has a hunting Lodge feel but the choices and prices are more of a higher end restaurant. Patrons were casually dressed and, while the Auburn game was on, were enthusiastic but not disruptive. Portions were large and included rabbit, boar, venison, and other unusual selections. Service was very good. The pork chops and the meatloaf were huge hits with our group. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I felt the prices were a little too high. Parking was a bear due to construction but this is definitely a place I would go again.
