We have stayed in this hotel several times. It's proximity to the University, downtown Auburn, and the surrounding shopping and eating areas can't be beat. The best part, however, has been the friendly and efficient service we have received from every hotel employee we have encountered. Before moving our son into the University, the hotel staff helped us to set up shipping and storage of all of his dorm room necessities and answered all of our questions with good humor and patience. I wouldn't choose to stay anywhere else!!

This a lovely hotel with a very good restaurant. However, when I visited there before Christmas with my granddaughter and daughter for the Teddy Bear Tea, the food was extremely disappointing. Whoever thought little children would enjoy smoked salmon? The scones and cupcakes were the only good things on the tray. Even the cute teddy bear sandwiches were so dry, they must have been made the day before and left out to dry. The day was delightful but please, change your menu next year to something children (and adults) will actual enjoy.

Dear tnpatti:

Thank you so much for joining us in Piccolo for this years Teddy Bear Tea with your granddaughter. Over the past four years, it has become an Auburn holiday tradition that we all look forward to and enjoy!

While we historically have had great success with our Teddy Bear Tea menu, I would like to apologize for the disappointing food during your visit. We strive to create a Tea menu that our youngest guests will love while providing some classic Afternoon Tea sandwiches for the adults, but it appears that we may have missed the mark this year. I have passed along your comments to our culinary team, and I can assure you that they will certainly use your feedback when they begin preparing the menu for Teddy Bear Tea next holiday season.

Thank you again for spending a part of your holidays with us, and I do hope that we have the chance to welcome you and your granddaughter back to Piccolo for a Teddy Bear Tea that is memorable for all the right reasons.

With Regards,

This hotel is right across from Auburn University and in walking distance of everything you need. The room was very clean and comfortable. Two times we went to the bar to get an afternoon drink and found no bartender, but someone would always show up and make us a drink. We only had one problem which was an alarm in our closet going off @ 6am on the first morning. It woke our entire family up, including the 2 kids staying in the connecting room, which wasn't good since we'd been out late @ a rehearsal dinner. When I complained to the front desk I was told "sorry, the power went off and the alarm for that floor is in your closet inside a locked box". I would've thought they would've offered a free breakfast since the entire family was now up! they didn't!

Room Tip: We stayed in a King Room #417, which connected to a double room #419, perfect for traveling w/kids.

I'm happy to hear that you appreciated the convenience of being able to stay right on the campus of Auburn University; we are definitely a great choice if you wish to walk to all the wonderful things the University and downtown Auburn have to offer. I'm also pleased that you found your room to be clean and comfortable, and have passed your good words on to our Housekeeping department.

I would like to apologize for the power failure alert waking you up in the early morning, and for our staffs poor response when you reported the problem to them. If your visiting Auburn and you want to park your car and walk & enjoy the village this is the place. About two blocks from the heart of town. Clean , comfortable rooms- very friendly staff. The lobby has a small coffee bar for picking up a quick drink or snack-- while the restaurant serves a daily menu focused on Italian offerings- but a bit pricy. The bar is well equipped and cozy with an enjoyable offering of Alabama brewed beers. We have stayed at this Hotel many times over the years and is always our first choice.

Dear TheNisa:

Thank you so much for making us your first choice of hotels when you visit Auburn, and for taking a moment to share your experiences here on Trip Advisor.

As you have noted, our location right on the campus of Auburn University puts us right in the middle of everything that Auburn has to offer. It is so easy to walk to the shops and restaurants downtown as well as all university events; you certainly don't need your car when you stay with us!

I'm glad that you also had the chance to enjoy our new Espresso Bar in the lobby; since finishing our restaurant renovation in October, it has quickly become a guest favorite, especially on these chilly December mornings!

Thank you again for staying with us, and we look forward to welcoming you back to The Hotel at Auburn University on your next visit to Auburn.

We were touring Auburn Univ with out daughter and a friend recommended The Hotel at Auburn University. It was BEAUTIFUL and pristine in condition. Far exceeded out expections of a hotel only paying $120 a night. However, the restaurant was bad - service and food and wouldn't dine there again.

Thank you so much for staying with us at The Hotel at Auburn University, and for giving us your fair and balanced feedback regarding your visit.

I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed the hotel and found it to be in pristine condition. We hear so often from our guests that they find the hotel to be the equal of any property that charges twice as much, and we take great pride in being able to provide you a world class experience at an exceptional price point.

I would like to sincerely apologize for the poor experience that you had in our restaurant. We strive to provide a flawless experience to our guests who dine with us; from the quality and taste of the food to the service and setting. The hotel is located on the campus of Auburn University. It is an upscale hotel with an inviting entry with a pretty good restaurant and bar. Our room and the hotel were nicely appointed. The common areas we observed were well maintained and clean. This was our first visit and since we will be traveling through the area periodically, I anticipate we will stay there in the future. This hotel is competitively priced and well worth a visit.

Dear Linda S:

Thank you so much for making us your home away from home while in Auburn, and for taking a moment to give us such a great review!

One of the wonderful parts of being the "front door" to Auburn University is getting to know, and welcoming back our guests who have students enrolled at AU. We truly look forward to welcoming students and their parents, from their first days of orientation at Camp War Eagle all the way through to Graduation Day.

We look forward to seeing you on your next visit to Auburn, and on many more occasions in the future!

War Eagle!
