Strolling down Wisconsin Avenue after a fantastic dinner at a little French bistro, we happened upon DolceZza. We'd been too full for dessert at the restaurant, but who doesn't have room for a little cup of gelato? I've enjoyed it in North Beach, the Italian section of San Francisco. I've enjoyed it in Italy. At DolceZza, it's AS GOOD AS IT GETS. There's a terrific selection of flavors; one that I tried was the lemon ricotta cardamom--the impressive thing about that combination being that I could taste each of the three distinct things in the gelato. I also loved the pistachio.
