I stayed here during the last week of October. The property is pretty new so the rooms, the lobby, and amenities are completely up to date. I believe every room is equipped with a mini-refrigerator. The hotel provides complimentary shuttle service to and from Union Station. However I had to contact the hotel a few times because the shuttle was never on time picking up at Union Station. The neighborhood is not the best for taking a leisurely stroll. The staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel also provides free parking, which is rare for hotels in major cities.

Stayed here while visiting son who recently moved to DC. A fairly new motel paired with a Holiday Inn Express that shares the parking lot. All of the typical amenities for this chain. Was fairly busy (stayed over a long weekend) which at times overwhelmed the smallish breakfast area. Provides a shuttle service to Union Station and Convention Center (if you ask). Parking is free which is a huge savings for an inn this close. Not near a Metro stop but the shuttle gets you to that. Neighborhood is a little iffy but never felt uncomfortable (we're from an urban area). Watch the intersection in front; has a stop light enforcement camera. The hair dryer was in a bag hanging in the closet, which was a first for me. I would definitely stay here (or in the Holiday Inn Express next door) again when visiting.

Pros:
Beautifully new. Rooms are brightly decorated and bathroom is fantabulous. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the shuttle service was worth a million dollars versus trying to drive and find parking in DC. Lobby was comfy and business center was great as we decided to purchase e-tickets for some tours and printed them. Entire bldg. was non-smoking (yipee) with a strict monetary penalty and pet-free (also, yipee). Location was not too far from downtown and close to several fast food restaurants. I felt safe the entire time. I highly recommend.

Cons: Road noise could be heard, but was not terrible. Shuttle did not always run on an exact schedule so there was a bit of waiting around. Breakfast was quite crowded but good.

  • Liked — NEWNESS and bright decorations
  • Disliked — Road noise was minor

New property, opened May 08. Very good rooms, flat screen tvs. new staff very pleasant. Very clean. The major drawback is that there is one 12 person van serving two hotels, side by side. When large groups leave together you might have to wait a long time to get transportation to Union Station. Did not seem to be any taxi service. Location is not in an area that appears suitable for walking around. Also, breakfast can get crowded. One waffle maker. Long lines at front desk as usually there was one person working.

  • Liked — newness, clean, flat screen tvs
  • Disliked — location, near nothing, transport to subway, Union station
