This was my first time eating at this restaurant and it was a great experience. We had almost an hour wait but it was well worth it. I really enjoyed browsing through all the books and magazines as we waited for our table. Once seated our server and service was great!

Better than average, but we are talking breakfast here....well, at least this review. Marvin , our waiter, had his humor game going on, which helped ease the busy atmosphere. Eggs Benedict was very good & to tell you the truth, I envied every other dish on the table! I could have eaten them all: they looked so delicious! Bloody Mary special $5each. Service prompt & we were out of there within 45 minutes! Parking could be challenging.

The food was really good and reasonably priced, which is rare for DC. The venue is spacious and has a laid back vibe. The food is locally sourced and there are a ton of vegan and gluten-free options. They don't accept reservations.

This restaurant was good. Aside from the fact that it is animal friendly the atmosphere was very welcoming. The staff was great. The food was delicious. We went with the intentions of eating a particular dish, but because of the time of visit we had brunch and the alternate meal plan was not disappointing.

There were books and other items for sale. Lots of different and interesting things to purchase.

I would recommend this restaurant.

Shrimp and grits was a spicy red sauce and was good homestyle food. Pretty spicy. Loved the nachos for an appetizer! Great atmosphere and cool book store in the front.
