“Customer Service was amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

I stayed here a couple weeks ago for The Nations Triathlon. The EXPO was conveniently in the hotel and they provided a very convenient shuttle service to the transition area all weekend. The room was clean, nice and modern and the bathroom even had upscale, on trend toiletries. I never comment on these sites, but i had to this time because the front office manager, Rachel Valentine was so amazing. The night before the race our room AC was making noise, Rachel addressed it immediately BUT STILL happily moved me into the room right next door. Even though my roommate did not want to move, Rachel let me stay in the room alone without a lot of additional fees! It was an unnecessary, but SO appreciated gesture the night before getting up for a race at 4:00AM!! Other smaller services like being notified of mail I received, getting my key to work, and room service were all so professional and efficient. I had a great experience at Washington Hilton and am so glad they helped my first tri event go more smoothly!

Used Hotwire and got this hotel in the DuPont Circle area-score! Easy walk from the DuPont metro station. Lots of restaurant choices near by including Cosi, 5Guys, and independent places. The is also a Rite Aid about 1/2 a block away. The hotel is modern and well decorated. Check in was a bit slow (one person working the regular desk and 3 at the Hilton Honors desk)-but the employee was friendly and helpful.

My room on the 3rd floor faced a residential street so there was no street noise at all. The room was clean and comfy. The vanity was a bit snug, but it was fine. I could hear people in the room next to me, but it wasn't terrible.

I walked north of the hotel to the zoo...probably a bit over a mile. I always felt safe.

I would absolutely stay here again (especially if I got the $97 a night rate again!)

Excellent location! Walking distance to Dupont Circle Metro Station and many interesting places. Spacious hotel, very good breakfast buffet and restaurant. Also, delicious options to eat at the Bar. However, this year the atmosphere was very dusty. You can breathe dust at your room, the hall and other closed areas. I ask for a deep clean to my room but, never happened. I'm asthmatic and had problems to breathe normally. They just solved the situation placing some signs in every floor indicating they were making some changes. I did not see any visible changes. The hotel should make changes during it's low season. They had various conventions simultaneously!

Thanks so much for reviewing the Washington Hilton and all the compliments on our location, food and beverage selections and spacious layout. I've shared your comments on the deep clean that was not executed with our team here and will follow up appropriately as dusty guestrooms are below our expectations and those of our loyal guests! We look forward to having you back at the Washington Hilton on your next trip to DC!

The Washington Hilton is an extremely pleasant place to stay if you're visiting DC. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The proximity to many landmarks is wonderful with many within walking distance.

Stayed for 4 days 4th to 8th Sept. checked approx 9pm after booking just minutes before.
We had a very bad experience on arriving in Washington Dc and the receptionist Sandra was very sympathetic and gave s. very nice room. It was really clean, very spacious and perfect for two ladies travelling together. The hotel is perfectly situated for the hop on hop off bus for tourists as us. Fabulous restaurant and coffee shop. All staff really helpful. And whilst no free internet in the rooms there is an area in the reception for free wi fi.

All in all a fabulous hotel. Thank you Hilton.

This hotel seemed a little outdated, mainly the carpet and hallways. Room was very suitable, bath nice, but certainly nothing exceptional. It was a little disappointing, but I was here on business, I did not spend very much time in the room anyway. None of the amenities many other hotels provide, such as daily paper or turndown service. The hotel has a nice location, and is not far to Ronald Regan airport, but quite a ways from Dulles. The restaurants inside the hotel are very adequate. The breakfast buffet is very good.

The cleaning of the rooms seem relatively slow. Hotel and room was a great value for the convention I attended was good. It does represent a good value.

Glad to read you had a good convention and enjoyed our breakfast buffet. The hotel has recently completed a full restoration so my apologies you found the hallways and carpet outdated. We look forward to you returning to the Washington Hilton on your next trip to DC!

I recently attended the FSI conference which was held at this hotel. For business purposes the hotel was an excellent experience. The valet handled my car perfectly, Christian at the front desk did an above and beyond effort to locate my HHonors number-which he did. The room was small which you can expect from a big city hotel but immaculate. The hotel restaurant was an excellent gathering place after a day of meetings. Overall, for business travel the hotel was an excellent experience.
