We did a multihop tour this last trip staying all in Hilton hotels. This was my favorite of the hiltons on the trip. Significantly better food - breakfast was wonderful. It was a pain in the but to get in and out of the hotel with our group but that might be more about the city than the hotel. Location was good. Rooms were comfortable and clean. I'd stay here again.

This hotel is located just outside the city and in a good location for local eateries and shops. The rooms are large and some have excellent views of Washington. Breakfast is very good and there is free wi-fi in the lobby. I would recommend this hotel for business or leisure

This hotel is in a pretty good location. You can walk to anything. The staff was helpful but definitely not going out of their way to engage anyone.. except for the front door person. Im not impressed with Hiltons in general, this was one of the better ones. The rooms are small and the walls are paper thin so good luch relaxing if you have a loud neighbor. There is a Hertz counter in the hotel but i never saw it manned. Im a gold member and definitely wasnt taken care of any faster than anyone else. If you come for the new years eve party its great to be able to stay in the same hotel but it is a nightmare to get out the next day so dont plan to leave until that evening or the following day. Hotel is packed with kids who just trash the place and you should walk however many floors you have to to get out instead of waiting 20 hours for an elevator. But on the plus side the breakfast is one of the best for a buffet.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Washington Hilton. New Years Eve is a very busy night at most hotels and very much so at the Washington Hilton. As a Gold member you represent one of our best customers and we highly value your opinions and your full satisfaction is our ultimate goal. It's excellent to hear you found our hotel to be an exemplary Hilton with excellent breakfast buffet and a very convenient location. However, we strive to engage all our guests and ensure a flawless experience. Although you were here for a very busy event, your departure is also important to us and the challenges you found are not customary. We hope you will return to the Washington Hilton the next time you visit DC.

We stayed as a family, it was made memorable by the staff hospitality. I would like to especially thank Brittany Cascanet, who really did help in making this special occasion such a delightful one and were touched by the welcome gift in the room. The buffet breakfast service on the at the "District Line" restaurant was excellent, had a lovely selection to cater everyone. We had a lovely 2 double bed suite, with a lovely large lounge with modern styling. The location is good, and within easy walking distance from nice shops, restaurants, bars, and the metro "Dupont Circle". The front desk were all pretty friendly and professional, bearing in mind the hotel was extremely busy having a large group of International guests attending a conference.

Room Tip: Talk to the hotel staff, they are very accommodating in making your stay special

First off, I am writing this review based from the opinion as a Hilton Diamond member. I will say that the room rate was pretty low in comparison to local Hilton properties, but at the same time, I got alot less for my money. My room was pretty small, and the bathroom was smaller, to the point that the sink literaly starts to extend over the tub. The hotel does offer snacks and breakfast to Diamond members on their 10th floor. The snacks are snacks, but when i stayed, the room was completely crowded, and it was the first time I have seen packs of children in an executive lounge. The breakfast selection was limited, with no proteins except hard boiled eggs I believe. Again, it was packed. There were 8 people in front of me trying to get a cup of coffee, and I retreated to my room to make a cup there, and avoid all the crazyness.
If you are in the area to see the sights, then the location is great for this facility. If desire space, and the full Diamond treatment, I would not recommend this hotel. You will encounter DC traffic if driving, so add an additional 30-45 minutes to get to and from this hotel. Be ready to pay $34 to park your car, per night also. I had to go get a print off of my receipt, due to the hotel being paperless. Good luck getting out of the parking garage, my keys failed to work, and I had to show my receipt to the attendant to show I had paid for parking, then sign something, to get out. Maybe it was just a fluke, but still, it was frustrating, and time consuming.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review the Washington Hilton. Diamond members represent our best customers and your opinion is highly valued. It's great to hear you found our room rates a good value and the location desirable, however your full satisfaction with the entire stay is our goal. As a city hotel our rooms can be smaller than those in more suburban locations and our ancillary spend charges reflect the urban location as well though we strive to give value to our guests. The next time you visit DC please consider the Washington Hilton, and if you would like to provide your information I can be reached via email at ellen.foody@hilton.com.

I was staying at this hotel for a conference. It has extensive space for large gatherings and hotel staff are efficient, experienced and friendly. Hotel restaurant food was better than expected: my steak was very edible.
But this is not a hotel I would choose for a holiday, in spite of its good location and only 7 minutes walk to the metro. The reasons are as follows.
The hotel is not pretty. While it is maintained and everything works, the corridors feel ugly and the room doors are of ugly green metal. I had a tour of The Pentagon and its corridors and doors were more attractive the this hotel's.
The hotel has an ok gym, but hotel guests are charged 10 dollars per session. I have never stayed at a hotel which charged guests for using its gym.
Perhaps surprisingly for a conference hotel, the bar seemed quite dead.

Luxury, charm, a good place to relax, drink champagne, be among nicely-dressed people(!) - for all these things you should go elsewhere.

Room Tip: Get a room at the front and on a high floor (there are plenty of lifts) to get great views of Washin...

Thank you for taking the time to review the Washington Hilton. We're pleased to hear you found our staff friendly, our food delightful and our location convenient. It's unfortunate you were not personally wowed by our decor, but with a $150M recently renovated product it is something we do pride ourselves on. We hope the next time you visit DC you will return to the Washington Hilton.

Stayed at the Washington Hilton for a night last week. The hotel is well-located between Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan and Kalorama. Very walkable. If you're toting heavy bags, use the Woodley Park or Columbia Heights metro stops on your way to the hotel, since those walks are mostly flat or down-hill (the Dupont Circle stop would involve having to walk up-hill for a little bit).

Had dinner at the hotel bar and the food was decent, the liquour was better, and the service was superb.

The room was very spacious and comfortable, and had a great view of downtown DC. Had the Washington Monument lined up with my window and could watch the planes line up to land at National airport. Very pretty.

Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Monument.
