“Wonderful atmosphere; wonderful location.”

I took my sister here for an overnight stay for her birthday. This hotel is beautiful; the service was great and our room was good-sized and quiet.
You can walk to most of the museums, the archives, and the Capitol from the hotel.
Get a drink at the Round Robin; it's expensive, but the atmosphere is worth it.

Our room/bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was included in the price for a delux King size room. Great service throught out the hotel. The Hotel lobby was decorated with a large Christmas tree adorned by years past White House ornaments, plus garland throughout.
The Hotel is near the corner, with the White House across the street and down a path. The Metro underground is two blocks away, making it easy to get almost anywhere around the city, including Arlington Cemetary and the airport stops (both locations are within a block or two of the Metro stop at their end). The Washington Monument is just down the street. The Smithsonian's National Museum of American History, as well as other Smithsonian's are all walkable. The lobby gets very crowded in the later afternoon due to Christmas Carolers, the Willards famous afternoon tea, bar, and restaurants. It appears its the place for visitors and locals to attend to celebrate the holidays. The morning hours and late evening hours were our peaceful time to sit in the lobby and enjoy their Christmas Tree/decorations, along with a drink. We would highly recommend this upscale hotel.

I met some people for a long weekend who where in DC for business. The hotel is in a great location and has so much history. Make sure you go by the Round Robin bar and the small museum just to read about it. It is truly a charmer. Cafe Du Parc is also an excellent place to eat or have drinks. The rooms are very comfortable and you do not feel like you are in a historic hotel.

Obviously this is where you go to smooch with the A list in DC. Centrally located you cant beat 2 blocks from the white house and a busy lobby. Great service but I would love some sort of controlled line up to registration. You stand in line there and all these suit types just walk past you and go up to talk to the check in receptionist - annoying.
Great room, nicely decorated I just wish the toilet would flush more quickly but its one of those environmental flush ones! Bed is comfortable and nice and a nice big desk & chair to work. Housekeeping is a so discreet you would never know they are in the hallway. I wish they would stop charging for internet especially for Ambassadors and the back elevators close to F street need to be operational much longer than the early hours when they are shut down. Busy lobby but overall its nice and truly an institution in DC!!

From the moment we set foot into The Willard Intercontinental, we were just blown away by the service and attention to detail. A special mention to Ali on the front desk - he was helpful and went above and beyond to meet our every need. Hopefully Ali's boss will see this review....

rooms spacious and luxurious with extra comfy beds and lovely amenities. No pool here but concierge was happy to organize for my children to swim at hotel next door (thank you JWMarriott!) . Room service was also surprisingly good - so my recommendation is to splash out and stay here - totally worth it!

Room Tip: Gorgeous hotel across the street from The White House

I stayed at the InterContinental during the first week of December and can't say enough about how beautiful this hotel is during the holidays. Even if you aren't staying here during your visit, I recommend a stop during the holidays for their tea service or to enjoy the Chrismas carolers that perform in the lobby each night. Service was outstanding and I had several meals in Cafe du Parc that were perfect.

For the business traveler, guest rooms are some of the most spacious in DC, wireless is fast and reliable, and the location to NW DC can't be beat.

I was in DC for four months doing an internship and lived on Capitol Hill. I had heard about the Willard before...a DC institution. I decided to spend a night there to see if it lives up to its reputation and to have a great time.

First off, the hotel is stunning. The lobby is truly beautiful and even if you're not staying, it's a fun thing to see....and (if you're into this) afternoon tea. That's not really my thing, but I spoke with some people and they all loved it.

Check in was nice and quick...and I got a room overlooking the Washington monument. What a great view! The room itself was very well appointed and comfortable. The bathroom was also nice with marble, a nice sized tub and I had no complaints about the room.

The food is great and I only ordered room service when I was there and every time it was fantastic.

But what really makes this hotel stand out is that it's unique and the location is unbeatable! The staff is great and always willing to help.

I am a big workout fanatic and I was very impressed with the hotel gym and it had everything I needed.

A great luxury hotel right in the middle of where you want to be! It is costly...yet the staff, food and just the whole experience make it worth it. DC has many fine hotels and this is right up there with them.

The manager should be proud and the staff was fantastic...props to the house cleaning as well.
