The staff are nice and helpful. We asked for directions and they went ahead and print out all the directions for us. The room is specious but just a little bit old fashioned. I will definitely stay there again.

The Washington Court Hotel has an excellent location in Capitol Hill! The rooms are spacious and very comfortable as are the meeting rooms. The hotel staff is always eager to help you with anything! Having used this location's meeting spaces and rooms for several years now i sure hope my company never changes! The staff must like thier jobs as every year we see many of the same faces we saw the previous year who always seem to remember us too! You will love your stay here!

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the street otherwise you will be overlooking the construction of the buil...

The hotel is in a great location, but the hotel it self is just ok.. Lobby is nice and clean and 4 star worthy, but the rooms are not.. Small, no refrigerated. They charge for everything!!! 46 charge for keeping your car in their parking deck, hotel guests should be free!!! You don't even have access to your car.

This hotel, ordinarily out of my price range, was great for a business trip to DC. Clean, comfortable, helpful and personable staff -not much more to ask for. Also, I appreciated that it was located so close to the Capital and museums. There is a Capital Bikeshare station right around the corner, you can hop right on and go anywhere in short order.

Booked this hotel for a family reunion. This review might seem a bit confusing... that's bescause our stay was confusing...We had some trouble regarding our reservations, due to misunderstandings and lack of communication. And this is my main issue with this hotel. The way the reception handled these issues was very unprofessional. The agreement we made with one person wasn't communicated to the next one on duty, So we could start all over again. Some of my guests were billed for their room, others I paid for - totally random it seemed. A room was cancelled although we were told, that the room would be there for our friends who arrived one day late. Turns out the room is cancelled automatically when they don't show up the first night - that's just not what we were told at the reception. So we had our friend sleeping in our room on an extra bed! To mend our disappointment, the person in charge of the reception, promised me he would have the booking company transfer the money paid for the cancelled room back to me. Now it has been a month and several calls back to the hotel receptionist, and still no money...
The one dot I give is to the welcoming guys out front - they deserve five dots for their friendly and smiling ways! thanks!

The doorstaff was very friendly and helpfull. The rooms OK. Reception desk chaotic. We were a group who had asked to stay on the same floor, but was on three different. Check-out confusing, something like "Fawlty Towers". The hotel was fully booked which can excuse the chaos.

I've stayed here several times as a conference hotel. It's a few blocks from Union Station and the Senate side of the Capitol so a the best part about this hotel is the location. And the Service. The place is simply dated. I worked on Capitol Hill for years before moving away and it seems to be stuck in a time warp. Brass fixtures in the bath, leaky faucets and tub fixtures, old coffee makers and hair dryers in the room, but the sleeping rooms are actually updated and comfy beds. Don't look for conveinet plugs on the night stand though, this place was designed back in the days before we all had iPhones, iPads, and laptops to charge up and wanted them in reach 24/7. They are way overdue for a total overhaul of this hotel, especially at the rates they can command in high season. I'd rather be getting points at a Hilton or Marriott if we're paying big conference hotel prices. The staff are well trained, the food is decent and the place is comfy. I believe they are schedule soon for a makeover and I look forward to the updates. In the meantime, if you're staying over the weekend when you can get deals below $100 - go for it! It's a bargain at that price. FYI-they are often listed on Hotels Toinght if you have that app.
