“Wonderful!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2014

From the moment we walked through the doors our wonderful child free weekend began. This weekend trip was to celebrate my birthday and we could not have picked a better hotel! The entire staff was friendly and did everything they could to make our stay wonderful. Our room was amazing, very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The large walk-in shower was fantastic and a t.v. in the mirror in the bathroom was a wonderful surprise and quite nice to watch while doing my hair and make-up. The location was excellent, located in a quiet area, without to much traffic and yet within walking distance to so many things. An all around fantastic weekend, definitely a place we will enjoy again sometime on another kid free weekend!

My husband and I chose to stay at The Jefferson last weekend to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, and we absolutely did not regret our choice for one second! The hotel was classically beautiful, and the entire staff was very kind, sincere and attentive. Each person seemed to want to ensure that we were having a 5-star experience at the hotel, and they worked well together toward that goal. Dinner at "The Plume" was wonderful! I have had delicious meals at other restaurants, but not one can top our experience at "The Plume". We are planning our next visit to The Jefferson; why go anywhere else? Our weekend was completely enjoyable, and we are still talking about it to anyone who will listen!

My husband and I recently enjoyed a one night mini-vacation at The Jefferson through their Herb and Tannins package, which included a wonderful tasting menu dinner at Plume and breakfast at The Greenhouse. Our room was luxurious and private. The staff made sure to acknowledge my husband's birthday with warm greetings and small touches (petite cupcakes in our room, a small elegant bag of macarons, customized menus at Plume). We have enjoyed several tasting menus at fine restaurants in the past and we can both say that Plume was the best that we have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. Five stars, well done!

The Jefferson Hotel is an truly elegant hotel experience in a town filled with people blowing smoke not substance. Staff is extremely attentive to your every move. There are many nooks and crannies to this hotel, all with elegant presentation to atmosphere. Mostly occupied as a business property on weekdays, it slows down considerably on weekends. Food and beverage very pricey, but if cost is your issue, the Jefferson may not be your first choice. Slightly off the site seeing trail, so make sure location works for you. Would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Hotel has 8 floors, but I believe price controls where you are placed. Get as high up as possible.

My husband and I stayed at the Jefferson the first week in March but despite the temperatures outsides we were given the warmest of welcomes from the staff. Our room was comfortable , elegantly appointed and most important WARM!! We were on a 3 day stop over on our way to Houston so wanted to see as much as we could of the city, the concierge was most helpful, advising on the best bus tours etc. We had a wonderful trip and would not hesitate to return to the Jefferson hotel, recommend it to friends and family, in the future.

This is the extra-special hotel experience discerning people have in mind when they seek lodgings that offer luxury, comfort, privacy, elegance and an attentive staff. You can't do better when you stay in D.C. than The Jefferson. Everything -- and I mean everything -- was what you hope your home away from home could be could be when you travel. From the moment we arrived at The Jefferson after a long cross-country flight to D.C., my wife and I were treated like royalty during our entire stay. It doesn't get much better than that. We so much enjoyed our stay that my wife and I regretted having to leave when it was time for our check-out date. Now, how often do you hear those comments about an hotel experience? Hands down, this is our preferred hotel when we next travel to D.C.

Room Tip: We never heard any exterior sounds in our 5th floor room at the far end of the hallway.

We recently stayed at The Jefferson and have only the best things to say about it. From check-in to check-out, we loved everything about this hotel. The best staff ever! We had a late lunch on Saturday afternoon and the bartenders couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful in assisting us on what to do or where to eat next. They all talk about how wonderful it is to work there, so management must be doing something right! It shows in how well they treat their guests. Our room, while small, was extremely comfortable -- and the turn down service at night was awesome. We had breakfast while we were there and that was outstanding. Unfortunately we didn't have dinner at Plume; we'll have to save that for the next time. We enjoyed the food at the bar, and the drinks were top notch as well. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning again in the near future.
