I needed a hotel that would accept my 2 dogs for an extended stay and I have come to realize that there are trade-offs to finding a hotel that will accept dogs (i.e., the rooms aren't in great shape and you get the "stink eye" from the staff). I didn't know anything about the RIver Inn when I made the reservation accept the fact that the location was convenient and it met my "canine" criteria. I was pleasantly surprised to find a large, nicely decorated room with a kitchen, couch, dressing area and bathroom stocked with Aveda products as well as an extremely helpful, friendly staff. I also enjoyed the restaurant, Dish, in the hotel and wish I hadn't waited until the end of my stay to try it . If American cuisine doesn't interest you, there are many other options at different price points in the area to choose from. And of course, there is a nice dog park a couple of blocks from the hotel.
